Goose is gonna die XD) - Goose looked surprised when Mercy came closer to him, but mortified when she put her arm around his waist and tuked herself under his arm. -Help me- He thought meekly but didn't say anything, knowing he was more likely to get killed by Mercy than Ajax. He masked the appauled look on his face but couldn't really muster a big enough smile you could see it through the mustache. -Dear lord help me please dont let Mercy kill me- Goose thought - Johnny raised a perfectly arched smooth black eyebrow and watch them with eyes so black it was like looking into death itself. "Goose? Let me tell you, angel, you made a terrible mistake. You've had your fun now, let me get back to my peaceful rest." Johnny announced in a strong Russian accent, turning around briskly and walking back into the cave - Ajax did not make a noise during this, though his eys sparkled wildly. He walked over to Goose and gave the man a pat on the back. "You did good." Ajax teased the trauamatized demon, walking off towards his cave again. "Now Mercy before you kill me let me say one or two things. I picked Goose because he would be just as scared of you as you are wanting to kill me. Your torture lasted a couple public seconds, but my torture will keep going until the stupid flippin holes in my badly torn up body heal. Last but not least, I picked Johnny for a reason." Ajax said in a flat voice. "The reason... he was probably the only demon that wouldn't laugh his head off at you or throw jokes." He added with a tiny smile, continuing to walk since he wanted to get home someday to collapse and not move again. - (Also, forgot to mention but Ajax has a couple tattoos that I decided to slap on there XD. He has snakes and daggers going up and down his right arm, with an American flag on his right shoulder. Ajax also has an eagle holding a ribbon that says *Home of the free, land of the brave* on his chest. All these were leftover from his living years) Edited at July 24, 2023 11:42 AM by Wild Warmbloods

He knows if he does anything, hes gonna die XD)) "Trust me, I agree..." She muttered after the demon walked into his cave, snapping away from Goose quickly and crossing her arms over her chest, glaring at Ajax. She opened her mouth as he commented on Goose being petrified, pausing as she realized... he was right. She pursed her lips and watched him, her gaze softening as he finished his reasoning. She stuttered out a few different beginnings to her sentence, flushing red before she finally flopped something out. "I- You- Wel-! Its- Becau- Well, I- it doesn't count! You took it easy on me! That isn't fair." She stamped after him. "I'm not some weak little creature, I can handle a real dare!" She snapped defensively, settling into step beside him and looking him up and down. She noted the wounds again with a small wince, looking over tattoos she had been too worried to notice before. Lots of tattoos. Not that she minded. They suited him and his usual grumpiness, making him look like he belonged to a biker gang.

A BIKER GANG...)) - Ajax raised his eyebrows and glanced at Mercy as she stumbled and puttered through her sentences. "You're right, you aren't weak." He said with a smile. "Buuuut.. you were threatening to murder me, so I decided to not push it too far." He finished with a twinkle in his eye, continuing onward towards his cave... so far... away. When he finally got there he was puffing again, sitting down underneath a tree with an unhappy grunt. "I should've gone harder on you just so I could walk less than a million miles." Ajax groaned, flopping against the tree and not moving for a couple minutes until his breathing was mostly normal again. Well... not like it would EVER be normal again but still.

Heheheheh...)) Mercy scoffed at him, rolling her eyes... but she was still smiling. She followed him all the way back until he settled against a tree. She looked down at him with a huff. "Well, I didn't ask you to take it easy on me, did I?" She huffed, sitting down beside him. She looked at him and bit her lip in debate. "How did you get that scar on your cheek?" She asked quietly, tilting her head at him.

Ajax looked at Mercy with a mischevious glance. "By the way you were complaining I thought you WANTED me to take it easy on you." He teased, casting a glance at Goose who still looked traumatized. When Mercy spoke again Ajax looked back, seemed confused for a second, then remembered there WAS a scar on his cheek. "It's a kind of depressing story for an angel." He commented, almost hopefully... but knew Mercy wouldn't careand would probably get annoyed he said that. "Okay okay. Well, when I was younger... er... maybe.. in between 10 and 16" Ajax paused with a sheepish smile, not really knowing when it happened. "I was out walking one night to go check on some cattle that my dad instructed me to take a look at. They were around 10 miles out... quite close, actually. My father had said I couldn't take a horse because they needed rest, and I couldn't help but mutter under my breath that I needed rest, too. My dad kicked me halfway to China and said that I needed to check on the other herd of cattle as well. Soo I went out, checked on the first herd, then hiked all the way to the second... an extra 5 miles. After I had gotten there it was like 2:00 AM in the morning, and I would technically have to get up in two hours, so I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep. With that depressing thought I let my guard down as I started to walk home, and real life what we call *cattle rustlers* came around the bend of the small path. They had been planning to steal some of the bigger herd I had just checked on. When they saw me they ran up to me and attempted to tie me up, which was an absolutely terrible idea since there was only two of them and one of me. I had beaten one of with a bloody nose and a black eye when the other pulled out a dagger and sliced a deep cut right across my cheek. Ths only angered me, and, knowing if I didn't do something they would steal the cattle, I managed to knock them both out. After I had lost quite a lot of blood, since the dagger had gone deep, I proceeded to drag the two full groan men all the way home. By the time I got there my father and all the ranch hands were gone because it was around 8AM. Not wanting to leave those two guys with my mother, I THEN dragged them out to where I knew my father would be working, an additional 7 miles. He was EXTREMEMLY surprised and the expression on his face was worth every bit of pain, so he took care of them and sent me back home... still without a horse. He may have been proud buuutt that didn't mean he was going to help me in any way shape or form. I staggered back home to my mother who patched up the wound, and then I went right back to work. One of the most boring stories I have ever told, walla." Ajax finished with a sigh

She leaned back against the tree and gave him a flat stare. "My job is to deal with depressing things; trust me, theres no better audience." She huffed, curling her knees to her chest and tilting her head at him in interest as he spoke. She listened intently, her intrigued gaze slowly turning into one of empathy. She stayed quiet for a few moments after he finished. "That's horrible." She saud softly, giving him a slightly puzzled look. "And... he didn't try to help you? At all? What kind of a person was he?" She bristled, getting angry enough at the thought that she uncurled her legs.

Ajax's eyebrows shot up as he looked at Mercy. "Horrible?" He mused, sounding slightly confused. It wasn't horrible... a bit sad, yes, but not horrible. Ajax was even more surprised by her reaction, but he smiled slightly. "Well... no, he didn't help me. At all." He confirmed. "My father was a ranch man, and some pulled tendons from dragging two full groan men back and a slight cut... well... those things were normal. He knew I would be fine, so he didn't worry." Ajax answered, tilting his head. "He wasn't the best father, but he wasn't the worst either."

|
|
|
She narrowed her eyes at him. "That 'cut' was deep enough to leave a scar that barely healed over after years. That doesn't count as 'fine' to me." She huffed. "Maybe not the worst, but from that scenario it seems like he was close to it. How many other scars do you have like that?" She asked, tilting her head at him.

Ajax lifted his hands, his expression innocent. "You don't have to get all huffy with me. My father is long since dead." He commented, raising his eyebrow as Mercy spoke again. "Oh come on he wasn't that bad." He muttered under his breath, but he knew it sounded bad. And yes, the cut had left a rather big scar and was not just fine. "Well... er... um... erm... uh..." Ajax stumbled over his words at her question. "A lot? Too many to count? What do you mean, like that. Ones that got neglected? Ones that came from cattle rustlers? Ones that came from my own stupidity?" Ajax asked with a grin

She watched him intently as he tried to figure out what to say. "Mm, not what I meant, but I would love to hear about ones that came from your own stupidity. They sound fun." She chuckled, turning to face him as she settled down for storytime.
