Andi glanced over at Tyler he looked defeated to say the least. She sighed looking at the ground, she fought herself wondering if it'd be better to say something or keep the silence. She couldn't think of anything to say and didn't have courage to actually break the silence so she just silently thought -I'm sorry...- She thought that as they got to her apartment, she wasn't expecting a reply back for that. Andi opened the door to her apartment and laid Jasper down on his bed in the living room, he whimpered slightly as he got set down "I'm sorry boy...." She then went back into the kitchen speaking softly "Okay now lemme see your stitches" She started getting her medical box just in case they were broken which she assumed they were

Tyler just felt even worse. It wasn't her fault... why was she apologizing? Andi had every right to be angry and annoyed at him. He silently went to go sit where he did last time, dreading the upcoming pain. Tyler glanced upward, wondering how much the other angels were laughing. Maybe they were starting to feel bad by now. He just hoped Jasper was going to be okay... at least Jasper wasn't a horse. In a dog a broken leg can heal. Tyler prepared himself for the sharp pinpricks of pain.

Andi lifted his shirt up revealing the gauze, she cut it off looking at the stitches. Just as she assumed it was broken, she sighed carefully pulling out the broken stitch and throwing it away. She prepared the needle and thread, she wiped the area with a saline wipe to clean it. She glanced up at Tyler making sure he was good before pressing the needle in and quickly stitching it back. She set the needle down once she was finished, she looked at the rest of his stomach. There was a huge red bump where he had gotten punched, she softly pressed against it seeing if anything felt off or misplaced fortunately nothing did. She decided to not to wrap it back up with gauze but put a large bandage over it to protect it from getting infected. She stayed silent as she washed her hands and put up the medical box, once again fighting herself to not saying anything but yet again spoke in her mind -I'm sorry for getting annoyed with you.. I shouldn't be like that... Also sorry for not helping you, instead I stood there like an idiot instead of ready to put up a fight... Maybe if I actually did something you would'nt have gotten hurt- She kept her head down walking over to Jasper crouching down next to him, she softly pet him trying to clear her mind

Tyler clenched his mouth and just stayed quiet. By now he was almost losing feeling in his stomach... it was practically going numb. He stood up after she was done, wincing slightly. "Andi... it's not your fault and I really should be the one apologizing." He started slowly. "You have every right to be annoyed... I shouldn't have just tried to shrug my injury off. If you would have gotten into the fight you could have been hurt a lot more, and I wouldn't want that to happen. I'm really sorry for not trying harder and protecting you and Jasper. That was my fault." Tyler finished, his gaze downcast. He hated when people apologized... and it wasn't their fault. Andi did absolutely nothing wrong. "Is there anything I can do to help with Jasper?" He finally asked, trying to ignore the dull pain in his side.

Andi continued looking down at Jasper while Tyler spoke. She sank back sitting down, she finally spoke quietly "It's okay you tried your best, it honestly would've been much worse if you hadn't came along. And me getting slapped was my own fault the dude deserved what I did to him. Getting slapped was my consequence." Her vision started to get clouded from tears that were starting to form. She had no idea why she was starting to tear up.. maybe from all the mixed emotions she had.. maybe because of Jasper.. who knows but she wiped her eyes before looking up at Tyler to reply to his question "I don't know... Unless do you know how to help make him comfortable until he can get to the vet in the morning?" She looekd back down at Jasper softly petting him again

Tyler glanced at Andi. She had a LOT of mixed emotions flowing off of her right now. He tipped his head and listened, letting out a quiet sigh... which brought him more pain. "He is probably as comfortable as he is going to get. Believe me... just put them in their favorite bed and pet them and they will be as happy as ever... like nothing Is even wrong." Tyler's voice was low, like he was trying not to bring emotion into it. His mind kept wandering back to his last dog when he died... just laying in the bed with his tail gently wagging, staring up at Tyler with happy eyes.

Andi gave Jasper one last pet before standing up "Okay thank you..." She was starting to get a headache so she went and grab some migraine medicine. She went into the freezer grabbing a ice pack to put on her face, She glanced over at Tyler speaking softly "So how are you gonna get back home?"She walked back over with the ice pack on her face sitting back next to Jasper

Tyler glanced at Andi. That had gotta hurt... he listened to her question. Tyler didn't exactly know. He would probably rip out his stitches again if he tried to fly. "I guess I'll walk." He said quietly, thinking of how.. painful that would be. Tyler hoped his side would just go numb, but that wouldn't happen. "Anyway.. I'll see you tomorrow. Please tell me if Jasper's okay." Tyler tipped his head and walked out the door, closing it gently behind him.

Andi didn't break her gaze from Jasper as she listened to Tyler "Okay be safe. I'd let you stay over but I know you have to get back to Raven." She finally looked up at Tyler as he was walking towards the door "I will and thank you again" As soon as Tyler left she moved over next to the wall which was still next to Jasper's bed. Jasper flopped over to his side resting his head against Andi. As soon as Jasper did that tears just started falling, she hated crying but it was the only response she had to everything that just went down. She gently started petting Jasper closing her eyes letting her head lean back against the wall. She fell asleep shortly after

Tyler sighed and walked outside. This would hurt. He started walking, getting ready for the long hike home. Tyler quickened his pace slightly, wanting to get back to Raven as soon as possible. He turned onto that road with no houses, having a weird feeling someone was watching him. Tyler continued warily, clenching his fists as each step sent a shot of pain through his side. He suddenly froze... there were the four guys. They had guns. The guns were pointed at Tyler. One of them stepped forward, the same guy from before.

"You and your giant black wings... you are a disease. We will kill you now, demon, and be done with you." The guy snarled, back up and loading his gun

Tyler... didn't know what to do. He heard a hammer click, and dove to the side just as a bullet whizzed past him. Tyler immediately grew his wings, knowing they were his only defense now. As he stood back up he heard another bullet shoot... and a searing pain ripped through his shoulder. Tyler couldn't utter a sound... he couldn't move... couldn't breath... he heard another hammer click. Tyler propelled himself forward with his wings and just missed getting shot again. He fell back to the ground, limp, not being able to move.

"Do you feel strong now, demon?" The guy sneered, kicking Tyler in the gut. He pressed his gun into Tyler's bullet wound, looking Tyler in the eye. "You're done for. Suffer in agony." He growled, kicking Tyler again before leaving. All the other guys left, too, leaving Tyler laying in the mud.

Tyler couldn't even comprehend the pain. The next thing he knew he had passed out. Blood seeped into the muddy ground.
