"Well, I can escape when I wake up!" She protested, obviously not convinced she would probably be helpless if she was kidnapped. Sierra felt a jolt of pleasure as he seemed to be thinking about what she had just said. "Really? Great- Thank you! I knew that'd work." She smiled, letting go as she started toward the door of the tavern to get a room ahead of time. Of course, since the Tavern was also used for drinking... she had to get in between the many-drunk people who seemed to be talking nonsense before making it to the receptionist and asking for a room, thanking the woman she paused at the stairs and waited for Tyler. Tyler knew he would regret this... and it would be very very not fun. He hated drunk people. Way more then he hated any other person. No one could count how many times Tyler had gotten into fights with drunk people... and he had always been the sane one. Well, not sane, he was crazy, but he had always been the one that had not been drinking. Tyler never really drank... the occasional beer here and there but that's it. Anyway, pulling his thoughts off that, Tyler walked into the tavern behind Sierra. His face immedietely grew stony, with a small hint of anger showing on it. He usually had that face pretty much to tell any idiot thaat dared mess with him that they were going to get punched to the moon. Tyler stalked over to the stairs, walking up behind Sierra, sill almost blowing smoke.

Sierra started up the steps, glancing back to see if Tyler was there. "Okay, that's your room." She beckoned toward a door with a number on it, handing him a key as she headed toward a different door and unlocked it. Finally, a bed.. She sat down on the bed, wondering if Tyler was actually going to stay and sleep in his room...which was defiantly 50-50, knowing him- for the most part. She laid back in the bed and grabbed the book she had gotten at the last town and started to read from where she left off, it was the only thing to do besides going further into town or sleeping.

Tyler took the key and nodded silently, unlocking the room and walking in. He was resigned to get some sleep tonight... he was inside, so he kind of had to. Or maybe he would just stare at the ceiling for the whole night. Whatever the case, rest sounded nice. Tyler listened for a second before deciding Sierra was okay for now, and glancing around the room. Chair... bed... desk. Normal room. Window... leading to a tree. Yes! Tyler grinned as he peered out the window... escape route. There was no way he was going to bed this early, so he would take a tiny walk. Hopefully without Sierra knowing. He backed up before jumping headfirst out the window. -branch branch branch- Tyler prayed, dropping through the canopy like a bullet. He saw a nicely placed thick branch, grabbing it with his hands and rushing downward. His weight almost jerked his arms out of his sockets, but he kept hold, climbing down the last couple branches before dropping onto the ground. "Ow" Tyler muttered, rubbing his shoulder before stalking around near the tavern

Sierra swore she heard something rustling the tree, It was a pretty big tree so she was able to see a few branches from her window. Birds. She shrugged, Looking down at her book just to realize she had just read the last page. Well, I guess it's time to get another one. She remembered how badly it had gone last time, and Tyler showing up out of nowhere...hopefully he was sleeping. Because she could handle this town's general store...person, cashier- or whatever, on her own..defiantly. She left her book there and exited her room, carefully as she walked down the stairs and crossed the drunk people in and out of the Tavern/inn. She started down the path, It wasn't very crowded so it was easy for her to spot, there was a general store, where the books would be. This time she'd get 2 instead of 1 to keep her entertained, Sierra walked into the store, searching for the section of books.

Tyler looked up and just about fell back behind the tree as Sierra came out. He did not want her to see him at the moment... mostly because he was thinking of how much his shoulders hurt and how stupid that had been. -When I was 18 I could do that so well- Tyler thought with a slight frown, continuing to watch Sierra from the shadows. -Oh great, she's headed to get more books. Hope you have money this time, because I am not helping you- Tyler thought, his eyes narrowed slightly. Even though he had convinced himself not to help, he still followed and hid in the shadows close enough to hear what was happening

After finding the section of books and picking out two that could be interesting she went up to the person at the front register. What's with all of these general store owners looking so...scary. "Hey, Do you have that new book...Day of...something? it wasn't on the shelves, do you mind checking to see if it's in your- storage, room?" She smiled, The man defiantly reminded her of Tyler..not an emotion to be crossed on his face, But reluctantly, the man nodded and left to check the storage room, and that's when she left. Making sure she tampered with the bookshelves to make it seem as if she had put the books back, and left. Hopefully, he won't notice. She looked around nervously as she made her way back to the tavern, this time, to actually sleep...even if it was early. Edited at May 23, 2023 01:14 PM by Wistera

Tyler listened to what was happening. Oh golly, by those footsteps he guessed the guy weighed about as much as he did. Maybe a little more. Tyler was just great at being quiet, and this guy... wasn't. Tyler guessed at least six feet, but he also guessed the guy was heavier then he was tall... maybe a tiny bit fat, very thick bones, not too much muscle. Not slim, though, and not tall enough for how bulky he looks. Tyler formed a picture in his mind and tipped his head, wondering why he even did that. Tyler watched Sierra exit after the man's footsteps went into the back. Unless this guy was a thickhead... he guessed that wouldn't work. But it might, not all people thought like Tyler. Scratch that, no one thought like Tyler. He watched Sierra walk away, hearing the man come back.

Sierra hurried over to the Tavern just before the man angrily stumbled out of the store, hopefully, she wouldn't get caught- or reported for theft...Not looking where she was going while inside the tavern, which was classic for her..always clumsy, She knocked right into someone, and it sent her to the ground. Ouch. She mumbled, looking up to see a man holding a glass, Oh great. "Sorry, Sir- I didn't realize you were in front of me." She quickly said getting up. Sierra had just barely avoided the General store's owner, and now she had gotten herself in a situation with who could only be a drunk.

Tyler was relieved to see the general store owner just glance around angrily before going back inside. He was also proud to see that the mental image he had made had been absolutely spot on. Tyler was probably a couple inches taller and a couple pounds lighter... so his thought had been perfect. He stalked away from the building, flashing through the shadows till he got to the tavern. Tyler immedietely scowled when he saw that Sierra had run into a drunk person. As he had said before... Tyler had gotten into SO many fights with drunk people that you could sit there with a board for years and never get to the number he had gotten into fights. Tyler came a little closer, though he stayed out of sight.
