Today Hailey and Travis dropped by to check in on their friends... immediately Hailey went to see Max and Travis sat with his friend while the kids went to go play "How ya doing?" He asked curiously "You don't seem super well..." he admitted "No offense of course..."

Sage was slow to open the door, since he was still limping, but he was glad to see his friends. He did notice Hailey's expression of shock once she saw him, though she quickly masked it. "Max is in the boys' room," he told her, pointing in her direction. He chuckled dryly at Travis' comment and shrugged. "I'm slow to heal, given the fact that priests have more power than demons in terms of spells and whatnot," he admitted. "So I still feel like I've been run over by a truck," he noted with amusement. "Makes it hard to sleep and eat, which I'm sure doesn't help." Then he wrinkled his nose slightly and sighed. "And the nightmares got worse...but I suppose I should be used to that by now," he grunted.

Travis smiled at his friend "Should you hit the reset button then?" He suggested "Maybe whatever is taking so long to heal can be fixed by hitting the reset button?" He suggested. "I know it's hard with Max and everything but you know we'll look after her." He assured "Maybe Roxie could speed up the process?" He suggested "I know you wanna be here with Max but you know you're not gonna be much use to anyone if you're not fixed up... I mean you can barely move man..." he pointed out.

Sage snorted and shook his head. "I wish it were that easy," he murmured. "This sort of thing would take so long to heal it would be years before I came back," he admitted. "It's easier to just let my body reset while it's finctional, rather than relying on others to fix it," he explained with a shrug. "Roxie and Max have both worked on it," he told him. "Max's specialty is healing, which is helpful since I somehow always manage to get into trouble. I mean...I was grabbed putting a grocery cart back. A fucking grocery cart, Travis," he huffed, the last part more amused than anything. Then he grunted and nodded with a groan. "I know...but resting now will be the fastest way to heal. Though I may always have a limp," he admitted. "And I don't think this eye is ever gonna work again either," he grumbled. "The amount of things I've run into the past few days is astonishing."

"Oh..." he said gently "Sorry..." he said gently listening curiously "I see..." he replied giving a chuckle listening to him "I know... those people though were fucked up in the head..." he said "None of this is your fault though... I know it's frustrating but still... it's not your fault." He said gently "Focus on the good things man... you've got twin boys on the way! You've got a wife that even while pregnant would bend over backwards to do anything for you..." he said gently "And you've got a little girl that absolutely adores you." He smiled "Focus on the good things and let those help to heal you up." He said trying to give his best friend a better point of view.

Sage hummed in agreement with his friend and chuckled softly. "I know," he hummed, throwing a fond glance in the direction of his family. "They're probably the only reason I haven't given up at this point," he admitted with a shrug. Then he wrinkled his nose slightly. "I just wish I could help her out a bit more," he admitted. "Tried making lunch the other day....didn't end out well and Max had to finish it," he hummed, in partly amused manner as he held up his hand to show Travis where he'd cut himself. "Who ever knew I'd lose a fight with a tomato," he joked lightly.

Travis offered a smile at his friend "You'll find your own ways to help her out." He assured him "Give her a massage... Hailey loved that honestly... Bring her little gifts once in a while... Oh haileys favorite things were the bouquets I brought her... all food related... she absolutely loved those..." he told him with a smile before he laughed "Don't worry bud you're not in ship shape... you'll win next time... plus tomatoes are little bastards anyways." He smirked.

Sage grunted and nodded in response to his first comment. "I certainly hope so," he muttered. "Still feels like my brains in a fog...that might because eating and sleeping has become a pain in the neck but either way thinking of something takes a lot of effort," he hummed. He punched Travis playfully when he said he wasn't in ship shape, and gasped in mock offense. "What, you don't think I could win a fight like this," he asked dramatically in a rather sarcastic tone of voice. He couldn't win ....and it worried him a bit. He chuckled though and shook his head. "Today's fight is carrots," he mused lightly. "we'll see how that goes." Seeing his friend did lighten him up a bit though ..he felt a bit better.

"You just need time man." He smiled "You'll be fine." He told him playfully shoving his friend away before he chuckled before smirking "Don't let your guard down buddy." He said playfully as the girls came out of the nursery.

Sage snorted and rolled his eyes at Travis shove and tease, and then shrugged. "I hope that's all I need," he mused. He saw Max though and smiled, waving at the girl's as they came over, and wrapping his arms around Charlie when he felt her climb into his lap.
