Lorelei gazed up at him, worried, nervous, excited.

"I'll be right back, my love" he said, getting up and finding her father. "I'm asking for your blessing to marry your daughter. We both know we'd be happy together and she really want this"

His father looked up at him. "Hm? Why would I do that? How will I know you'll love her in a year? 5 years? 10 years?"

"Sir, I would go jump off a bridge to prove my undying loyalty to your daughter. Respectfully, that's never gonna happen." He said simply

He stood, drawing his pistol and pressing the barrel of it to Kais forehead. "Love her now?"

"Yes, sir" Kai said, voice strong

"Hm," he hummed, holstering his pistol again. "Okay. You have my blessing. But you do it right. Get a ring, take her to a nice place and do whatever she wants to do after, understand?"

Kai nodded. "Yes, sir. Thank you, sir." He said, nodding respectfully
