Travis listened curiously and nodded "Gotcha... well we'll let you guys have the rest of the day and night to rest... tomorrow we'll bring Charlie home if you guys are up for it." he smiled "Sound good?" he asked. "Thats honestly perfect Travis... thank you." she said gently the young man nodding before he left. Lance just made sure they didn't need anything before they headed off. When he was sure they were fine he too headed off. Max was struggling to stay awake as she'd been up since they'd gotten Sage home "Go ahead and take a shower i'm gonna get something to eat." she said gently before she headed off to get food. When she returned she settled on the bed to eat while Sage was in the shower it was definitely an odd combo... cantelope and chips the salty mixed with the favor of a cantelope was delicious... to her anyways.

Sage nodded thankfully, and smiled tiredly over at Travis. "Thanks, man," he hummed, another yawn breaking his sentence. He sort of just hauled himself up and off the bad with a slight hiss of pain...they'd healed what they could, but they could only do so much against priest magic. So, he was definitely still hurting. He limped towards the bathroom, waving off Lance's offers of help with a slight grumble. He'd nodded in response to Max, and waved at everyone before slipping into the bathroom to wash off. He washed slowly, just too tired to do much else. He'd ended up sitting down in the shower, since he was too tired and hurting to stand that long. But, even as tired and pained as he was, getting clean felt wonderful. Clean clothes suddenly seemed amazing. He didn't bother to comb his hair out ...it was all one giant tangle and he didn't have the energy to comb it out. He'd do that later on. That would feel great too.

Travis nodded happily. When Max had finished she came into the bathroom "You good hun?" she asked gently "Need me to at least try and do anything for ya?" she offered.

Sage was sort of just sitting there halfway through putting his shirt on whenax broke him out of his thoughts...he'd zoned out just sitting there holding his shirt in his hands and staring blankly at the wall. He sighed slightly and shrugged, pulling the shirt over his head, face twisting slightly in pain as he did so. Once he had it on, he sort of hummed in thought. "You can attempt to comb my hair out...I don't have the energy for it," he mumbled clearly already half asleep. "But that can happen later too," he said with a yawn. He didn't care if she wanted to comb his hair in bed.... It would feel just wonderful, but he wanted to go to sleep.

Maxine smiled "I'll brush out your hair for you." She assured him coming over and getting the brush off the counter "We may need to cut it though... it's pretty matted..." She admitted picking through it with her fingers "Honestly it might be easier for me to just cut it and you grow it back out to the length you want later..." She admitted.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded when she started picking through it. "That's fine with me...I can grow it out to the same length with my powers," he told her with another yawn. "Just cut it short, but longer than the shorter part on the underside and I can grow it back the way it was," he told her. He was fine with that. It would be quicker and easier for both of them.

Max smiled and gave a nod "Will do hun..." She said gently before she got the clippers and started cutting it off... she cut it down until she could realistically brush out his hair... after she did that she let him go to bed though she decided to stay up for a while... she'd gotten some somewhat restful sleep but she hated laying down right now it was so uncomfortable and part of her was scared she'd wake up strapped down unable to do anything even to soothe the boys again.

Sage hummed gently in agreement and sat patiently while she cut the matts off and then worked at brushing it out. It did feel nice....he'd never get used to the feel of her hands in his hair. Once she was done, he sort of stumbled back to the bed and had enough energy to tug the soiled tablecloth off the bed and collapse on top of the blankets, immediately falling asleep again. He was a bit nervous about nightmares, but they were fairly common, so he supposed he would just suck it up. He needed the rest.

After another couple of days they got back to a fairly normal routine aside from Max's new somewhat urgency to nest and prepare the nursery despite having grown quite a bit from something the scientists had given the boys to grow... for all she knew she could have these two any day now... she wanted to make sure the nursery was ready... and it was a way to distract herself from everything that had happened as well.

Sage had busied himself with caring for his wife and child.. running to the store to get snack for Max, bringing Charlie to the park and playing as best he could, all the rest. But when he wasn't busy, he had the tendency to get lost in his own head and just...sit and stare. It wasn't good for him, not at all, but he didn't want to bother anyone about it. He couldn't even force himself up to rest Travis when he got like that. He hadn't been sleeping well either...he'd had the same bad dream the last few night, and no matter how often it happened, he'd still wake up in a panic. On top of all that....he was still hurting and limping around. And suddenly being half blind was incredibly difficult. The amount of things he'd run into certainly didn't help his soreness, and he was constantly afraid of running charlie over of knocking max over, or stepping on daisy when she came....he was honestly just a stressed out mess, but doing his best to function despite it all.
