Maxine hated it but she took her husband's advice "Okay... I know I feel it too... not as much though... maybe it's something in the warding in this place?" She suggested holding her husband for a moment longer before Travis looped an arm underneath his friend "When you're better you have lots of explaining to do buddy..." he warned in a slightly teasing manor. Lance helped too... by now the girl was looking nervous "8 minutes guys... hurry the hell up." She said sternly causing Lance to just simply pick Sage up and carry him off after he vanished from sight. As soon as Lance and Travis were visible again however they were spotted... there was some commotion before the whole building powered down instantly Max felt the weight of the warding lift off and suddenly Roxie was in front of them "I blew the electric in this place and suddenly I could get in... I don't know how it's possible but we need to get outta here like... now..." She said snapping her fingers and opening a portal her hands were slicked with some kind of liquid which made Max want to vomet... "Damn what the hell did you do? Why do you smell like gas?!" Max asked "I'll explain later but we need to go now..." She said practically shoving them through the portal.

Sage shrugged slightly and grunted. "I don't know what it is," he muttered. He gave Travis a sheepish grin and a nod. "I'll fill you in once we're all outta here," he promised. He let out a surprised yelp when Lance decided to just pick him up and walk away, though he didn't fight much since a, he didn't have the energy, and b, it was probably faster than Travis helping him limp along. He'd gotten them both covered in...a lot of stuff....none of which was particularly present though. He'd have to say sorry later. He was surprised to see Roxie, but the pressure on his head was definitely less potent. He gave her a sort of drunk looking wave and grin, then passed out. He wasn't really sure what happened next, but he woke up in his bed later on.

Max was laying with him under the covers patiently waiting for him to wake up, she rolled herself over rather awkwardly to look him in the eye "Hey..." she said gently. He still had the muzzle on for the moment... she didn't want to take it off him until he felt he was ready. Travis and lance came in when they heard Max talk to him "Hey buddy." Travis chuckled with a smile.

Sage turned to face Max when she spoke to him, yawning slightly and humming a hello to his wife. He sat up with a groan when Lance and Travis came in. Roxie or Max (or both of them) had healed him up, but he was definitely still sore and he still definitely had a headache. He went to rub his eyes, and his hand hit the muzzle, which he'd almost forgotten he'd had on. He scowled slightly and reached up to unclip it and toss it over on the floor, rubbing the area that it had cut on his face. He could still only see out of one eye though...which meant that water had left one side of his face permanently blind. He didn't even what to know what the scars around it looked like. "Hi," he greeted the other men with a wave. "I'm sure you'd like me to answer some questions," he said to Travis with a tired chuckle.

Max smiled when he greeted her a few tears slipping down her teeth, she was relieved to see him awake and at least somewhat awake. Travis waved back with a chuckle "Eventually... get something to eat man you've been out for 12 hours..." he pointed out with a chuckle. "I'll go get your lunch and a drink for ya..." Max said gently before she headed off after getting up rather awkwardly out of bed. When she returned she had Sage's favorite food and drink for him as she climbed back into bed with him running her finger along his scars on his face to heal them at least a bit before he ate.

Sage patted max wearily when he heard her start crying. He glanced over at Travis with a rather surprised expression on his face. "That long," he half yelped before nodding in response to Max. He couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the sight of Max trying to climb out of bed, but he gave her a smile when she came back, tilting his head so he could see her with his good eye. "thanks babe," he hummed lightly before practically shoving it all in his face. He'd forgottwn how hungry he'd been without much food...taking notes out of the scientists didn't do much. He winced slightly when he felt her hands on his face...not because it hurt, well it did, a lot, but that wasn't really the reason for the wince. It was more of a 'this probably looks absolutely awful now' sort of thing. "I'm not sure I even want to ask how bad it looks," he sighed slightly. He ate soon enough though, and then glanced over at Lance and squinted at him. "Did your old man knees actually carry me like a baby all the way back here," he asked, half joking but also rather serious ...he hadn't thought the guy could do that. Once Lance had responded, he sort of grunted and looked over at Travis. "Right, then, you get three questions and then I'm going back to bed and I'll answer the rest later," he told his friend with a slight twinge of amusement in his voice. He really was exhausted though.

"No problem hun." she replied curling up beside him and letting the boys talk. Travis chuckled "Actually it looks kinda badass..." he admitted "And yeah you were out for that long... we tried to wake you at first but you can be a very... violent sleeper when someone wants to wake you..." he chuckled gesturing to his black eye. Lance smirked "I did, it was better then letting your slow as hell ass get us caught." he teased "Besides I might not look it but I'm fit as a fiddle." he said sternly "Ignore the hair." he chuckled. Travis chuckled lightly "Well how long have you been a demon for starters." he said.

Sage hummed slightly and shrugged. "Well, I'm no stranger to scars I suppose," he mused. Then he frowned. "I might have to relearn a lot in terms of fighting though," he grumbled. He grinned sheepishly when he put two and two together about the black eye. "Sorry," he chuckled. Then he wrinkled his nose at Lance's comment. "Yeah, well, if you want me to ignore the hair, perhaps you should color it," he giggled, waving his hands to give Lance poofy clown hair that was colored bright pink. Once he'd finished chuckling he turned Lance back to normal and then shrugged at Travis' comment. "Long as I've been alive," he told him. "That's how it works....you live, you die, you go to heaven or hell. If you were abnormally bad in live, you get reborn as a demon." He shrugged. "apparently I was one of them, though I don't remember much of my previous life...and the things I do remember I don't want to remember, so I haven't exactly wanted to find out more," he hummed.

Lance yelped at the sudden change in his hair demanding Sage get it off him as Maxine laughed at her father. When he finally got the hair off him Lance shook his head "Remind me to never make jokes like that around you again..." he retorted. Travis shrugged "It's fine." he chuckled "You went through a lot worse by the looks of it." he retorted. Travis gave a nod "So... is Max a demon too?" he asked "Mhmm... Wasn't always that way though... I was human... Charlie is half and half... the boys...? I'm not honestly quite sure yet..." she admitted. Travis nodded "I don't really have any other questions at the moment..." he admitted.

Sage chuckled lightly at Lance and gave him a grin. "It was that or a good old fashioned hair dye in the hat prank. Figured this would be a bit more temporary," he giggled. He grunted and nodded in agreement with Travis before shrugging. "she was fully human, but back when she had Charlie, Roxie was still very much not happy that I'd screwed up their system. She drugged Max so Charlie free and came out way too early...Max would have died if I hadn't gone down there and made a deal with her. So now Max is half demon...but she's alive so...," He trailed off with a shrug. Not much more had to be said about that. "the kids are whatever part of Max they'd get. Charlie is half and half...but the boys are up for grabs," he admitted. He nodded and yawned once Travis had said he didn't have any questions. "good, then I'm going back to bed," he hummed. Then he wrinkled his nose. "Actually I should probably shower," he admitted. He was still filthy...not caked in stuff, but still filthy. Filthy enough for him to have been laid down on a plastic tablecloth in the bed.
