Maxine laughed with tears in her eyes "It explains why I have outgrown my clothes so quickly!" She snickered she was overjoyed and a little nervous... and excited... and so full of love for the boys all at the same time... Charlie of course couldn't resist expressing how excited she was either as she was bouncing up and down. Edited at June 23, 2023 08:02 PM by Polar Lights

Sage couldn't help but laugh at... well, his family. Both Max and Charlie deserved a good chuckle. He was really quite excited too, more than anything, so he knew what it was like. He'd she'd a few years himself about it all, and he didn't cry often. Once they'd hung up the phone, he couldn't help but wrap his arms around her waist and kiss her deeply. "Gosh, I love you," he whispered to Max, not really able to keep that down.

Maxine was glad their friends were excited as well they too couldn't wait to meet the boys. When he hung up and kissed her rather passionately (earning an eye roll of disapproval from Charlie) she giggled "I love you too." She giggled happily.

Sage hummed happily at Max's comment and gave her wide wide grin, pulling away from another kiss since Charlie was still there and he didn't want to go too far in front of the little girl. He looked down at her instead, and scooped her up happily. "why don't we get you cleaned up and ready for lunch, hmm," he asked happily. "If I'm hungry I'm sure your momma is with two babies inside her," he chuckled lightly, striding off to clean charlie up a bit from the park.

Maxine giggled at his kiss "Careful!" She reminded him with a chuckle before she rolled herself upward into a sitting up position. Charlie giggled happily as her dad picked her up "Yeah!" She squeaked happily as they headed off. Max decided to rifle through the fridge to see what looked good to eat she eventually decided that some yogurt looked good so she ate that while she waited for her husband and daughter as she still looked through the fridge.

Sage took care of Charlie with a chuckle. He noticed Max already rummaging through the fridge, and normally he would have laughed at her a little bit and told her to wait for lunch, he wouldn't do that while she was pregnant. She'd still be plenty hungry for lunch, after all. He took care of Charlie as quickly as possible, knowing they were all hungry by now, and then wandered back to the kitchen and set her down in her chair, humming in thought. "What sounds good," he asked lightly.

"I don't know..." She admitted thinking and tapping her short nails on the fridge door and a hand on her hip with a sigh "Maybe we should do a quick store trip..." She said "Nothing looks that good..." she admitted "I'm craving something I just am not sure what it is..."

Sage hummed in thought and then nodded. "That's fine with me," he said with a shrug. "We need more groceries anyway since you've clean the fridge out," he teased her lightly. He grabbed the car keys and glanced at Lance, who had joined them for lunch. "We're going shopping," he informed him. "Well be back in an hour or so," he told him happily.

Maxine nodded blushing heavily "At least I have an exscuse!" She teased with a laugh Lance gave a nod "Alright ill hang here with Charlie." He told them happy to spend time with his granddaughter as Max got herself ready to go.

Sage chuckled lightly at Max's comment but nodded happily at Lance's comment. "I'm sure it won't take long...unless someone decides she wants to buy out the whole store," he joked, most definitely meaning Max when he said 'someone'. But he loved her, and he'd buy whatever goodies she wanted. Once she was ready, he bid Lance and Charlie goodbye and headed out the door with Max happily.
