Laurel shook her head, her hands on her hips. "I'm happy to stay, but I want to know exactly what you want. I don't want to overstep any boundaries," she told him.

Laurel groaned softly but nodded, deciding not to argue about it. She glanced at the time. It was around 5:00PM so there wasn't really any point in her going home. "I'll just stay. I'd be bored at home anyways," she murmured. And scared of getting shot at again.

Laurel shrugged, her hand absently brushing near the tender area where she had been grazed. "Can't say I'm not. I know the person who did it isn't coming back, but the thoughts still there."

Had she been drinking anything, Laurel would have absolutely choked upon hearing his offer. "W-What?" She stuttered, a bit astonished at the thought. It wasn't a bad idea and she'd definitely feel safer, but.. "I mean, I would like that, but are you sure?"

Laurel nodded slowly, weighing her options. She would already be visiting him every night and she found herself most comfortable when close to Luca. "Could I just stay in the guest room. I feel like it would be the smartest option given our.. arrangement." She wouldn't have to worry about going home at odd hours of the night after their meetings, and if he needed anything from her she'd already be there, if she wasn't working her other job.
