"I wouldn't be so quick to think that. You have a family and friends and, I bet, someone who probably really likes you." She looked down "I have absolutely nothing. It isn't going to hurt me any if I die or get hurt. The only one it could possibly affect is Lucifer but that is only if he knows. The the world could be at stake if I die but that would only be if someone could kill me first. I've never heard of a demon get killed even if they bleed out. They just suffer until their body fixes itself. " she explained before looking back up at Cade

Cade shook his head. "I don't have friends. And if my family cared they." Cade paused. "They would have come looking." Cade sat up and streched, cracking his neck. He reached over and began to pet Rascal who was on Saphire's lap.

"Well we did make it a little bit difficult to find us so they could have been trying. Plus it sounds to me that you were already really far away when you were in the woods" she pet Rascal too, careful to not make her hand touch his. She didn't want the little tingle that happened when she did

He shrugged. "Who knows, it's not like I'm rushing to go back to them either." He noticed how Saphire avoided his hand. To her credit he avoided hers, he didn't need to get closer to her, to be more open.

Rascal jumped up and ran around the cave for a few minutes. "I wish I had that much energy sometimes" she said
| |
Cade nodded, laughing a bit at Rasal. "Same." He jumped up and played with Rascal for a bit, laughing and wrestling him. Eventuly he lay back down with Saphire. "How does he still have the energy to play? He tired me out."

Saphire watched Cade as he played with Rascal. She found herself enjoying his company. She knew she had to stop but she couldn't help it. All of the men she had even known were aggressive and mean; he was a breath of fresh air. She shrugged. "I have no clue. He's still a puppy. That's all I can guess at" she smiled and got up, finding a stick outside. "Hold on just a second" she pulled off Cades sweater, readjusting her ripped shirt underneath. She darted outside the cave for a second, her body completely secluded by the rain for a moment as she retrieved a stick. She came back soaking wet then tossed the stick to one side of the cave, Rascal pouncing on it and trying to rip it to shreds. Saphire shook herself then sat down away from Cade and Rascal.

Cade stared in awe as Saphire ran into the rain and grabbed a stick for Rascal to play with. "Didn't you say the rain hurts you?" He said, looking at her, concerned.
"sometimes. But that's only in the underworld. The rain there is acid for the most part. Most demon like the acid. They like the pain. I am one of the only ones that doesn't- probably because I am half human. " she shrugged. "Here it doesn't exactly hurt, just the memory of the first time I was caught in it. I saw everyone else out there and I was infatuated with the way it fell and splashed. I stepped out and was burned really bad" she shook her head. It was painful to remember it, and she knew she was saying too much. She wrung out her red hair that had now gone flat, the locks sticking to her head and shoulders

"I'm sorry." Cade couldn't imagine not being able to enjoy the rain, he felt really bad for Saphire. Rascal went up to Saphire and nudged her arm, trying to lay in her lap.
