Andi turned to stop "Oh uh you don't have too..." she watched Tyler swiftly start putting Raven away sighing -that wasn't a question was it..- she thought to herself. She waited for Tyler then continued walking once he got up to her "Thanks for walking with me, I guess it would be better walking with someone at night then by myself" They had already made their way out to the main road, now there was 9 miles left.

Tyler nodded. "Yes, I am sorry, but that was not optional. You are welcome." He said quietly, keeping a gently hand in his stomach. He did not know how that puppy jumped so high... his chest was more than five feet up in the air. Tyler shook that thought out of his mind and matched his pace to Andi's, glancing forward on the road.

Andi huffed slightly "I forget sometimes that you can read my mind..." It was a weird feeling to know that someone could hear her thoughts at all times, but also it good so she didn't have to physically see him to tell him something. Jasper was staying inbetween Tyler and Andi, he was tired from the days activity and probably going to be dead asleep as soon as they got home. Andi couldn't wait to do the same thing, get home and sleep especially since she had to get up early for work. She sighed thinking about work, yes she loved her job but somedays she just wanted to have a break from everything while not being sick.

Tyler flinched slightly. "Sorry... I try to block it but it doesn't really work that way." He apologized quietly, glancing around. Tyler heard a noise in the bush... that usually wasn't a good sign. Four guys suddenly emerged out of the brush. Tyler froze, looking around quickly. The road they were on was the ONE road without houses on it. He slowly looked back to the guys... they were no where near as big as him... but they weren't injured, either.

"Hey, punk. Think we can steal this little thing you got?" One of the guys sneered, standing right in front of Tyler. The guy had to look up just to look Tyler in the eye... but he had three other people to back him up. He gave Tyler a sharp shove.

Tyler clenched his jaw angrily, resisting a yelp of pain as they pushed him backwards. "Leave now, boys. You obviously don't know how life works." Tyler snorted, trying to forget what they said. He didn't OWN Andi that was not how it worked.

The guy looked back at his buddies and laughed. "Oh you think you're tough? What if I just take her then." The same guy snickered, grabbing a hold of Andi's arm sharply.

Tyler felt fury swell up inside of him. "I suggest you let go... you won't have a very fun night if you don't." He said quietly. His voice was low, deep... and sounded terrifyingly dangerous.

"Oh shut up." The guy growled, pulling back a clenched fist and punching Tyler right. In. The. Gut.

The burst of pain was... horrible. It was so bad Tyler almost passed out. He roared with pain and stumbled backwards. Fire seemed to fill his eyes as he launched himself at the first guy. Tyler knew this wasn't what he preferred.. but he couldn't win the fight without them. Powerful black wings came out of his back and he pummeled the men with them, sending them flying backwards. They all yelped in fear and pain, scrambling away quickly. Tyler felt... faint. The pain was sending waves through his brain and making him so sleepy. It was a horrible feeling. "...sorry Andi..." He murmured, toppling over

Andi glanced over at Tyler "Sorry didn't mean for that to come off as rude, it just feels weird y'know" She suddenly jumped seeing 4 guys emerge from the bushes. Her first instinct was to run but she didn't want to leave Tyler behind with them especially with his injury. She half hid herself behind him trying to not make eye contact with them, Jasper was growling at them he wasn't bad enough to bite them but he still didn't like their presence either. Andi gritted her teeth hearing the first guy speak, she was not a 'thing' and no way in hell were any of them were getting her. She let out a quiet gasp as the same man shoved Tyler back, her confidence quickly declined -this is going to end badly...- she thought as she took a step back. Andi wasn't listening to what they were saying anymore she was trying to find a way out and fast but suddenly she felt a powerful grip on her wrist, she set eyes one of the men. He was taller than her as most people are, but not as tall as Tyler she tried ripping her arm loose from his wrist "Let me go you idiot" That only made his grip tighter. Jasper continued barking and growling at the man eventually the guy got fed up kicking Jasper. Andi was quickly overcome with rage she bit the dudes arm causing him to let go, he swiftly looked back at her slapping her "A pretty thing like you should know how to act".

He then turned his attention at Tyler who was speaking to him, Andi was crouched over checking on Jasper as she watched the whole thing play out right in front of her. Everything suddenly went by in flashes for her from Tyler getting gut punched, to his wings, then suddenly him toppled over on the ground. She was frozen looking at everything that was in front of her, finally she came to her senses getting over to Tyler. Her faced burned from the slap but she didn't care Tyler was more important now. She was careful not to step on his wings kneeling next to him softly saying "Tyler come on you got to get up..." She stuttered over her words "We are so close to my apartment if you get up I can take care of you there please..." She stared at him unsure why he had toppled over but knew it wasn't good

Tyler was... very dizzy. He attempted to sit up with a slightly groan. "I'm.... obviously fine... can't you tell..." he murmured, trying to figure out why he was so dizzy. Tyler remembered reading about how when an immense amount of pain shoots through you all at once it can make you dizzy... but it shouldn't last long. Tyler shook his head to clear his mind, and his vision slowly stopped swirling. He staggered to his feet with a wince, his stomach feeling like it was on fire. What happened to a good old punch in the face? Tyler then realized his wings were still... out. He felt kind of terrible for doing what he did, but he knew he would never have chased them away if he just punched at them or something. He worked his jaw back and forth for a second, breathing in shallowly, and glancing at Andi. "See? Fine... just a little... pained." He said quietly, trying to get his bearings and remember exactly what happened. Stupid no good rotten pests...

Andi sighed being relieved that Tyler could atleast sit up. She stood up giving him some room to get himself together. She ignored what he said the first time, she was slightly annoyed that he couldn't admit that he fully wasn't okay but there was nothing she could do about it. As soon as he stood up she examined the blacks wings that came from his back, They were huge, guess they had to be big in order to carry a human. By the second time Tyler had said something she was fed up "You obviously just fell over in pain... There is no way you are 100% fine..." Andi looked him up and down trying to see if anything was physcially wrong with him from with him, fortunately from what she could see there was nothing wrong. She turned back around checking on Jasper again examining him, she would take him to the vet in the morning to make sure he was okay. Suddenly her face stung, she rubbed it trying to get the sting to clam down. Now that most of her adrenaline was gone the slap was finally settling in, it had left a imprint on her face

Tyler turned to her. His vision had finally cleared. "Well you obviously got slapped... so you are not 100 percent okay either." He knew his comeback was literally the worst in angel or human history... but it was all he had, because Andi was right. "I know, the pain was very very very bad for a couple minutes. It is dying down." Tyler said. He wasn't a lie... the pain was dying down... just... not that much. It still felt like his side was on fire. Even if he was a 'guardian demon' he still was not fireproof... or dagger proof... or punch proof. Tyler made sure he was forest on his feet before glancing down at Jasper. "Is he okay?" Tyler asked, trying to get the attention off of him. However much he didn't want to admit he had got punched and It Felt like he got stabbed all iver again... that is how it felt.

Andi huffed slightly "Yeah I'm not a 100% fine either but all I have to do is put a ice pack on. Your pain is worse though for all I know your stitches could be torn or a rib was broken with how hard he punch you..." She said that with a hint of annoyance, she was annoyed that he kept trying to down play all the things that just happened to him. But mostly she was worried and wanted to make sure everything was actually fine with him. She paused for a moment after he spoke before replying "Okay good.. I'm gonna check out your stitches when we get to my apartment to make sure their not broken" She rubbed her face a little more before bending over and picking up Jasper, he wasn't super heavy to carry since he wasl only 55 pounds but still was going to be a bit of a struggle. She watched Tyler stand up he looked forest enough on his feet for now which was good. "His leg is starting to swell, I think his leg might be broken... I'll have to take him to the vet in the morning" She sighed now she was just upset, she was upset with what happened to Jasper and now with everything that happened. She shook her head slightly trying to shake away all the emotions that clouded her head. She looked over at Tyler "Come on let's go..." She started walking slowly trying to make sure she didn't disturbed Jaspers leg

Tyler's face kind of just.. fell. Well, his whole body kind old did. His shoulders slumped, like all the fight had gone out of him. He mustered up enough energy to retract his wings, then just walked silently alongside Andi. He felt terrible. Now Jasper was hurt... Andi had been slapped... and he didn't prevent any of it. All he did was get punched in the stomach and roar in pain. Helpful? No. Tyler looked at the ground and half walked half limped along. He could tell Andi was upset, annoyed, and angry. The only reason he downplayed what happened... is because that never should happen. He is supposed to protect her, not get hurt.
