Ryker shook his head slightly. "Yes, but don't apologize. I wake up easily lately." He answered, smiling a little as he watched Pyper. - (Do you want to skip a ways away? When do they adopt Ryan and how many years apart are Pyper and Sophia?)

I don't know for Ryan, but he would have to be young. And Pyper and Sophia are 3 years apart. And yeah. Maybe after Sophia comes along? You decide. I'll go one more post) - Abby laid her head on Rykers shoulder while Pyper nursed. Axl nuzzled Pyper's feet

(Yeah. Okay. Sounds good. I'll skip to when they get Ryan) - It had been a year, and they had gotten MUCH better at taking care of Pyper. Martin and Abby's parents helped a lot, and everything was going well. There was some sort of scenario (I dunno lol) and they were at a shelter while Pyper was with Martin. They were worrying about a young boy they had found, and turned it, but he obviously didn't have parents- that cared about him.

Abby held Rykers hand as one of the shelter workers went into a room and carried a young boy- about three years old- out of the room. Abby got on her knees and held out her hand. "What's his name?" She asked as the worked out him down. "Ryan" Abby gave a small nod and grabbed a toy from a nearby basket. "Here. Wanna play?" Ryan toddles over to the basket and grabbed a tow truck. "You like trucks?" She asked and he wordlessly pulled out another truck.

Ryker stayed quiet as Abby led him into a quiet room. He turned to speak quietly with a worker as Abby knelt down. He nodded as the worker finished speaking, then turned to Abby. "Hey, what do you want to do?" He asked quietly, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"He's so sweet. " she looked up at Ryker. "I can't leave him. He doesn't deserve this" she looked back at the child as he played with the trucks. "He needs a forever family and a sister. And horses"

Ryker looked down at her. He stayed silent for a while, then let out a slow breath. "No, he doesn't deserve this." He answered quietly, then tugged her up and to the side. "Are you saying, for one, what I think? And for two, are you sure?" He asked in a low tone, looking at her. "Because that's a big responsibility to take on, especially with Pyper only being 1. "

"I know it is... but look at him." Ryan sat on the floor, playing with another kid. He didn't grab the other kids toy or throw it across the room like the other kid did to him. He just sat patiently and picked a different toy. "He's so smart. And yes I'm sure. Unless you aren't. You are sure right?" She grabbed his hand and gave it a small squeeze. "Because if you aren't sure, then ill stop every thought about Ryan and we'll leave" she glanced back down at him as he stood. The worker got down on her knees and played with the child while Abby and Ryker talked.

Ryker glanced at the small kid, his gaze softening slightly. "I just don't want to overwhelm either of us." He said quietly, shaking his head slightly as she asked if he was or wasn't sure. "We're not going to leave. He needs a home and if you are prepared to give it to him, I will support you fully in that." He answered with a small smile, his dark blue eyes searching hers.

"Let's think about it after we get home. We can come back tomorrow if we think we can" she had a sad look on her face because she couldn't let him go. But they needed time to get stuff and figure out how to make it work. Time was about all they needed at this point. Abby glanced down when Ryan started crying. The worker had stepped away to answer the phone and Ryan toddled over to Abby. She put her arms down and picked him up. "Shh. It's ok. What's wrong?" She asked. Ryan just stared at her hair, his hands gently grabbing some and playing with it. Immediately she melted. "Ohhhhh Ryker" she looked at him and smiled. "Maybe I want him. It's not a maybe. It's a yes. But I still think I need to actually think about it and not make his lifetime an impulse. " she held Ryan while he messed around with her cooper hair
