Caden watched as she went, realizing now as he walked downstairs. She'd always apologize, even when he was at fault. He just had to say 'it's fine' and carry on, nothing he could do about it.

"You're bigger than me and I'm supposed to listen to you and maybe you thought I was cheating and I don't want you to hurt me because that's allowed since you're the guy and I'm just a woman and I'm sorry..."

"That's not allowed, you don't have to listen to me, and I wouldn't hurt you to save my life." He corrected gently.
