Martin chuckled slightly before gently handing Pyper to the nurse. Ryker watched carefully as everything went on, like a Hawk, except even more attentive. He didn't take his eyes off Abby and Pyper for a single second. He couldn't. His protective father-ness was kicking in big time.

My first thought was: CHAMELEON)) - The nurse quickly pulled Pyper into a separate room before returning her two minutes later. "Here you go. I think she's tired. " the nurse backed away before turning and heading out the door to the next mother and baby. Abby smiled. "So tough being a baby" she wiggled her toes from under the blanket and stared down at the child. She held baby Pyper close to her body while waiting for the squealing that meane her parents were here. It took a few minutes before Pyper was being pulled away from her by Abby's mother and father. They swooned and kissed Abby's forehead, her father clapping Ryker on the back and congratulating him. It took three hours for Abby and Ryker to be completely alone. Abby woke up after an hours nap to feed Pyper. She rubbed her eyes while her daughter nursed. She looked at a nurse as she walked in and started unhooking her. "You are good to go!" She said

(XDDD ME TOO) - Ryker kept watching carefully and didn't react too much, except for the respectful smile when Abby's parents came in. The next three hours were probably the longest of his life. Martin left last, per usual, and only because the doctors shooed him away so Pyper could get some rest. Ryker did not sleep at all, instead watching the two people he cared most about in the world sleep peacefully together. When the nurse came in he sighed with relief- that meant everything was fine. Now they were in for a busy 18 years.

Abby pulled herself from the bed. "Can you hold your precious daughter while I go change into something more presentable?" She picked at the hospital gown before handing off the sweet baby Pyper. Abby all but wobbled over to the small bathroom and changed into a sweatshirt and leggings that she had. She came back out and sat on the side of the bed. Everything from her hips down hurt, but she was strong enough. A nurse walked in with a wheelchair. "Here, Mrs Rivera. It's better if you sit and rest for a while longer. I or your husband can wheel you out out of the building and be driven home" Abby smiled and looked at Ryker. "Can you help me up? That little trip to the bathroom took a lot out of me. I can hold her if you need "

Ryker took Pyper with a nod, his features instantly softening as he held the small girl. So precious. He waited until Abby came back before smiling slightly. "I'll wheel her out." He told the nurse, then shifted Pyper to one arm and held the other hand out to her. "I need to learn how to juggle the baby and you anyway." He joked slightly, helping gently pull her up and into the chair while cradling Pyper and staying steady.

Abby giggled "I am a handful aren't i" she took a deep breath while she relaxed in the chair. When the door opened she felt like she had gotten slapped in the face. The frigid February air blew around them. She shivered all the way to the truck. "If I'm cold that means she's freezing, although she is wearing warmer clothes and blankets than I am. I shouldn't thought about this" she stood just long enough to pull herself- literally- into his truck. "You getting her all buckled?" She asked as she twisted in the seat and touched her forehead.

Ryker chuckled quietly. "You don't know the half of it." He teased, carefully carrying Pyper while keeping the baby asleep while pushing Abby while opening doors and steering. A great feat to accomplish in his eyes. He glanced down at Abby, concerned, as she shivered. But the truck had heat. He couldn't do anything at the moment. He got Pyper all buckled up and got the blankets tucked in, nodding at Abby before getting in the driver's door and starting the truck, heading towards home

Abby turned on the heat and waited for the vehicle to warm up. "Ahh I can't wait to be home. To see Axl and Sun and Shadow and Frynn and Serpant!" She said quietly, trying not to wake Pyper. She really couldn't wait to let Pyper meet the horses for the first time. And Axl. He was going to be so excited.

Ryker smiled as Abby started speaking. "You've barely been here for 24 hours." He snorted quietly, thinking about the horses and their dog. "But I can't wait to get home either. Especially now that we have little Pyper really with us."

"I can miss my babies without leaving them at all! " she smiled and leaned her head against the headrest. As soon as it got warmer, Abby's eyes dropped and she fell asleep for the rest of the short drive home. She was passed out, already exhausted from the constant waking up and feeding and lack of any sleep.
