Amira woke a bit later, stroking Sage's cheek. God, this man was made to be the perfect father and man for his family

Sage had only been in a light sleep by then, so his eyes fluttered open at her touch, a lazy smile curling his lips upwards when he noticed her face.

"I don't know how I got so lucky" She said softly

Sage chuckled, still groggy but he knew what she meant. "I'm the lucky one," he humemd softly. "You did save my life multiple times," he pointed out.

"You're the perfect boyfriend and father"

|  |

Sage chuckled softly and took her hand from his face, kissing it gently. "And you're the perfect mother and girlfriend," he added. Then, despite not having a ring but definitely having pondered the idea, he sort of blurted out, "but I think you'd make an even better wife."

Amira froze for a moment, the widest grin stretching across her face. "You think so?"

Sage grinned back with a nod. "I've been thinking about it ...and I know I don't have a fancy ring or anything but ...I do love you and our daughter," he noted simply.
