Camery Valatieri - Camery let out a soft sigh, her chest rising and falling gently as his arms wrapped around her. A contented grin spread across her face as she lightly placed a hand on his cheek, resting her forehead against his. "I love you too, Mr. Bodyguard," she murmured, her voice warm and full of affection, her eyes soft with happiness. She couldn't help but hope he'd be staying over... the sun was sinking slowly, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, but she didn’t let her thoughts wander too far. Instead, she snuggled closer, pulling the blanket around her shoulders with a lazy, comfortable motion. She smiled at his words, her heart full, before pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "I am," she agreed playfully, her body relaxing against his as she melted into his embrace. "But that just means I’ll get to make you treat me even better later," she teased, her voice light and filled with that easy, playful affection that came with being so... well, in love she supposed.

Camery Valatieri - Camery laid there, relaxing in the arms of this man - god, he was so perfect. His smile, his eyes, his body... but it was more than that, too. He was so bold and kind... he was so protective of her, and now she knew it was more than just to get paid. He genuinely cared for her, more than anyone she'd ever met. She felt herself starting to slip off to sleep, though just as she closed her eyes she felt him rip away from her. She jumped a little and watched him rush around. Her brows pinched together and suddenly just felt like he was trying to run away from her after all this. After she'd given herself to him. She flashed him a sheepish smile. "You could stay for a while," she murmured to him, holding the blanket close as she sat up. "It's not like you have anywhere else to be," she added with a sheepish laugh.

Camery Valatieri - Camery glanced up at him as he sat on the bed, her eyes softening when she heard him apologizing so fervently. She still didn’t fully understand why he had to leave, why he seemed so eager to go, but she didn’t push the issue. Instead, she gave him a reassuring smile. "Kai, it’s okay, don’t worry," she told him with a soft laugh, though there was a slight hint of sadness in her voice. He was speaking so quickly, almost as if he couldn’t get away fast enough. It stung a little, especially when he didn’t even bother to pretend. She leaned up, pressing a kiss to his lips, knowing he’d be back tomorrow anyway, busy with work. His comment brought a small, genuine smile to her face. She waved him off weakly, watching him leave with a bittersweet feeling. Once the door clicked shut behind him, the smile quickly faded, and a frown tugged at her lips. Still, she shook off the feeling, forcing herself to move as she waddled to the bathroom to get ready for bed. By the time the sun had completely set and the castle had grown quiet, she found herself too tired to care anymore. She flopped down onto her pillows, letting the exhaustion settle over her, and before long, she drifted into a peaceful sleep, the weight of the day slipping away.

Camery Valatieri - Camery slept restlessly through most of the night, though it wasn’t unusual for her to toss and turn a little. She was generally a good sleeper, but there were nights like this one, where her dreams never seemed to settle. When she felt the weight shift on the bed, she barely stirred at first, but the familiar scent of Kai’s cologne filled the air, and without even fully waking, she reached for his hand, gently sliding it beneath her top and placing it on her chest. She curled around his hand, holding it close, seeking comfort in the small, intimate gesture. It was a silly thing to do, really, but in that moment, she just wanted to feel safe and at ease. "Good morning, babe," she murmured sleepily, turning her head toward him with a tired but content smile. Her eyes fluttered open briefly, blinking at the daylight that had begun to filter through the room. She lifted her shirt a little so her hip to ribcage was exposed. "You get to watch me turn gold. How lucky are you?" She asked playfully as the thin golden lines appeared across her body. She really should get up at some point, but nothing seemed urgent. There wasn’t much pressing on her agenda, and besides, the maid had already brought breakfast, so there was no rush. "I was thinking we could go out for lunch today," she whispered, her voice still thick with sleep. It wasn’t much of a plan, but it was enough for her to feel the weight of the moment—simple, relaxed, and with him.

Camery Valatieri - Camery smiled sleepily when he kissed her, though it was a bit messy and groggy on her part, considering she wasn’t fully awake yet. The familiar warmth of his lips brought a comfort she didn’t fully realize she craved until that moment. She felt a soft chuckle bubble up inside her when his fingers traced lightly up her side. It was a sweet touch, gentle, but she was just so ticklish. She giggled softly and grabbed his hand, pulling it away from her side with a playful grumble. "I said you could watch, not touch," she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep, but there was a hint of amusement in it. The comfort of his presence, the soft sensation of his touch, made her feel so at ease. The taste from the night before seemed to melt away as she settled into his embrace again, letting herself relax fully. When he asked her what they should do, she hummed in thought, blinking sleepily as she tried to make sense of the question. "You pick," she said with a lazy shrug, her eyes fluttering closed for a moment. The peaceful stillness of the morning made her feel like time didn’t matter, and she caught herself almost drifting back to sleep. After a beat, she remembered the question and slowly blinked open her eyes again, looking up at him. "We can go to town," she murmured, her voice soft. "Where’s your favorite place?" she asked with a quiet curiosity, thinking he must know the area better than she did. He had to have grown up around there, after all. Surely, there was somewhere he liked, a spot that felt like home to him.
