-X- Adrien sighed inwardly and ade his way to his room, keeping his suit on as he sat down on his bed. Well, kind of a bed. He decided it was getting late and Agent 7F could handle it. Plus, he had a feeling he wouldn't sleep, so why not try earlier? He stripped from the suit and pulled on some grey sweats that were provided. He didn't put on the shirt, since he had no use to do so. He had to keep his mask on, for punishment he supposed. He peeked outside his room one more time and looked around, he didn't see anyone. But who knew? He closed his door again and locked it, walking back over the the bed and wincing quietly. Ow. He thought, lying back in the bed.

Lynx made his way around the large house for about an hour, tilting his head as he went. He was gauging for hiding spots- weak spots, good places for a combat advantage. Just trying to get a lay of the land. There was no curfew, so he was perfectly welcome to survey his new battleground. He got tired after a while, and he was confident that he had the relative map of the house. He made his way back up to his room, tempted to search for his Agent's instead. Even if he did, there were likely cameras there- and he didn't want anyone, especially not the detectives, to know he had any connection to him. He made his way to his room and changed into a simple pair of comfortable pants, a similiar shirt, and then the hoodie.

-X- Adrien had been lying in bed now for five fucking hours. He had barely moved, and he wasn't even remotely close to falling asleep. He couldn't get up and wander because he was almost CERTAIN which would result in punishment and just- ugh. It annoyed him, he wanted to do something. But he couldn't, so he didn't. Though, he willed his legs and eyes to stop throbbing in pain. And still- they didn't. He sighed indignantly and sat up, looking around the room. His mask had unlocked slightly, not enough to talk but enough to breathe more normally. He jolted when he heard a voice ring out sharply from his headset. |Agent 5F. Go to the main room on the left, a detective wants to talk with you.| They were saying in a highly rude voice. He winced at the noise and stood, pulling on a shirt and slipping out. When he neared the room he heard his communicators go off and his mask lock into change mode. Which meant the Operators had given control to whoever was in the room. His body went rigid and he paled visibly. He was scared, this rarely happened, so it was very very disturbing. Forget being 6'... whatever height he was. He was scared. He just stood, frozen in place, body stiff, staring at the door at the end of the hall. He couldn't will his body to move. Not yet anyway.

Lynx managed a few hours of sleep before the audio in the ear piece woke him. He had stuck it nonchalantly in his ear just before that. He slowly opened his eyes, sure he was being watched, but determined to investigate anyway. He wasn't an extremely successful thief for no reason- the shadows were his home. And he knew every place the cameras were likely to be, thanks to his adventure earlier. He slid out of bed under the pretense of going to the bathroom, walking tiredly, or so it seemed, to the door. He slid out and into the hallway, immediately melding into the shadows outside. He slid silently through the darkness along the wall, dissapearing from sight as he hit a likely blindspot. Even if a camera saw him, all his clothing was black, and his motion smooth and unremarkable. The true stealth of someone made not to be seen. He stalked through the house in the same way, just until he saw his Agent standing there. He stayed settled in the shadows, utterly silent as he waited for him to proceed. But he seemed... anxious. Fearful.

(DRAMA!) -X- Adrien couldn't force himself to move, he was terrified. He didn't know why, he just... he didn't want to be here. He didn't want to go in there... His stomach rolled and he just stared at the door. What made him so... scared... was that the Operators rarely put his mask in change mode and never EVER muted his headset. Something was going to happen when he went in there and he was utterly horrified of what it may be... -X- (Sorry it's short!) Edited at May 29, 2024 08:26 PM by Oakwood Barn

Lynx watched quietly, for a few minutes. And then another. And another. Finally, against all the things screaming reason in his brain, he breathed out a soft breath and did the least logical thing possible. He slid out of the shadows, purposefully making sure his breathing and footsteps could be heard so as not to startle the frozen man. He pulled up alongside him wordlessly, setting a hand gently on the small of his back. "It'll be alright." He soothed softly, voice deeper and slightly more gravelly than usual from hours of sleep. He tilted his head in to speak the words closer to the Agent, gently rubbing his thumb across his Agent's back. "You'll be alright." He continued, cursing himself inwardly. He had no idea what was going on, but he wanted to help.

-X- Adrien flinched at the touch but he didn't look away from the door. He shook his head frantically, he felt his mask was unlocked, which meant whoever was in there wanted it to be so. "No... no. Not good." He muttered. When he heard Nikolai's voice, and not Agent 7F's voice, he looked over and down at him, trying to fix his face to not look so fucking scared. But he couldn't manage it... he looked away, back at the door. "No... you do not understand..." He murmured and Adrien knew he didn't. He would probably never. But Adrien didn't want to go. But he had a feeling he had to. He kept his eyes staring at the door, not looking away. His headset was still silent.... and his mask was still in change mode.

Lynx took a deep breath and nodded slowly. "Probably not. But I do know that whatever is in there won't be any less scary no matter how long you wait. I also know that it'll probably get worse the longer you delay." He answered softly, trailing his hand up to rub light circles over his back. "You can do this. I promise." He murmured lightly, looking calmly up at the taller man.

-X- Adrien knew this was a bad idea. He knew he shouldn't go in there. And it was making him feel slightly... weaker that he was being comforted by a prisoner. Adrien just took his headset off and slid it into his pocket. He stepped away from Nikolai nodding at him slightly. "Sorry." He murmured, just walking off toward the room. His head was down and he wished he was smaller. He wanted to just disappear into nothingness. He knocked on the door and a detective opened it. Eyeing him up and down. "You're late." He said rudely. Adrien flinched at the voice and walked inside quietly. The detective closed the door and looked at him. Adrien knew this would be no fun. At all.

Lynx let his hand fall back almost as soon as the Agent seemed alright, taking a step back. "Don't be." He answered quietly, stepping back into the shadows to watch as the Agent made his way inside. Once he was in, he slunk forward through the shadows to listen nearby the door. Just to see if he could hear anything- which, he could. Just barely, he made out the voice and words.
