Laughing, Madrigal went to the window and looked out. Her mind wurred, thoughts flashing themselves at her. An idea popped into her head: to fashion some of her clothes into a makeshift pregnant belly under her cloak to stick things in, but then she remembered that they'd shown their faces at the market yesterday and it would look weird to those who'd noticed them. She sighed, and nodded. "Some of our targets are quite big, how do you suppose we snatch them without being noticed? Create a stash somewhere close enough to all of the venors we're hitting? or do you intend to create enough chaos for that not to matter?" |

Sage yawned and shrugged. "Make a big enough explosion in the right spot no one will notice or care," he muttered. "Leave that to me, I've done it plenty of times before." He gave her a crooked grin that was still half asleep but he knew what he was doing even then. "Act like we bought it and no one will know any different. People see and hear what they want to, not what actually happened. They're afraid of a thief, so if we say nope we bought this they'll believe us." |

Hey I'm back!)) Madrigal nodded to Sage, and then continues nodding to herself. "Okay, so you do that, and snatch what we need from one side of the arena," she gestured to the right, and then dropped her hand because they were miles away from the arena anyway. "And I'll go through the other side." Madrigal hestiated. "Will there be time? If we're quick we should be alright. A big enough explosion will create enough mayhem that no-one will be paying attention to anything other than their own immediate safety, so they probably won't even notice us." She reasoned like she was trying to convince herself that everything would be okay. She knew that it was unlikely that things would go according to plan, but it was in her nature to know all the details in case something went wrong. Obiously, the fact that they hadn't planned the whole day down to the very last detail didn't bother Sage. She tried not to be too uncomfortable. Trying to reassure herself that they would be okay, Madrigal turned to Sage and nodded to the door. "We should get moving." |

(hey there! How were finals and stuff?) Sage shrugged and nodded. So far, the plan they had was fine, but there were always things they didn't take into account. Pretty much, the plan was only an idea of what they would do. As of them, his plan was to pretty much go knowing what he needed to do and improvise...that's what he did best, what he was used to. It was good to have the plan they did but once it changed something the whole thing was gone. He stood up and grabbed what they'd need with a nod. "And don't worry, I've been doing stuff like this since I could walk." |

(They were Mid-term tests, and they were very hectic! But I got reasonable marks so I'm happy! First week back for the last term of the year and I'm swamped with three research reports! Yay! :/ Hope you're well.) Madrigal rolled her eyes and gave Sage's shoulder a gentle shove. "Wreaking havoc since day one, huh?" She smirked, and looking up at him, she decided that she would once again put her trust in him. "The thought makes my skin crawl, but I'll leave it up to you, then." She picked up her cloak and put it on, securing it in front. Immediately, she felt safer, more shielded. She didn't know what she'd do if she ever lost the thing. That, she thought, would be a very sad day, indeed. Madrigal secured her knives, strapping and hiding them on various places on her body. Her crescent moon blades in their normal, easy-to-reach slots, and her throwing knives in her boots and other pockets she'd made to hold them. She checked herself, and headed to the door. "Lets do this thing." (Sorry one this doesn't have much substance...) |

(lol, I can understand that! I'm alright, also pretty busy with schoolwork) Sage wandered around, making sure the fire wouldn't create a bigger one and left the cabin the way he wanted it. If they ever came back here in between adventures or something he wanted it to be here. A place they could safely stay for the night. He only needed his dagger and the clothes on his back, along with whatever they already had packed. Honestly it all he had anyway, so he waited for the girl to finish and gave her a wide grin. "Time to cause some trouble," he practically cackled, adrenaline already pumping through his body as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, exciyat the prospect of such an adventure and risky thing as this. |

Back again! last exam is on Saturday and I'm so looking forward to be finished for the summer!!) Madrigal flipped her hood on and slapped Sage on the back as she exited the cabin. She waited for him to close the door before starting on her way to the square. She shoved her hands in her pockets and fingered her crescent moons, feeling better at the touch of metal. The comfort they brought her was more than what any human had provided. So far, anyway. She admitted that she'd lived a short life- though she was surprised that she was even still alive- and those she'd met weren't great people to begin with. Until Sage, that was. Madrigal had a feeling that he was different. Deep in thought, Madrigal caught her toe on a root and stumbled, slicing a finger on the blade in her pocket. Her face flamed as she scowled at herself for being so careless. So thoughtless. She brought the finger up, and seeing that it was only s small nick, she stuck it in her mouth to suck on it. Madrigal's stomach turned at the metallic taste. Memories flooding her conscious mind like a flash flood; quick to rush in, quick to leave again. Suddenly, all Madrigal could feel were the eyes, her skin crawling with the sensation, her hair standing on end. She shuddered and stumbled again, her eyes flicking rapidly from one treetop to another. Madrigal blindly palmed her crescent moons, withdrawing them from her pockets, her nuckles white. Half of her knew that the eyes weren't real. The other half acted blindly, like a cornered wolf. |

(Yayyy that is exciting. I don't get to go at my own pace, unfortunately) Sage was aware of the girl's uneasiness for quite some time, but he ignored it for a while since he got the vibe that she probably was more of an...independent person. She didn't need him to tell her to calm down - and that would, in all honesty, get the girl more riled up. And personally, he didn't want to get on the wrong end of those blades of hers. Though, when the girl stumbled again and made a slight noise, and he smelled the metallic scent of blood, he half sighed and looked over at the girl. "The more time you spend in the woods, the better it'll be. You gotta learn to be invisible," he told the girl gently, eyeing her swords almost wearily. He doubted the girl would stab him, though girls were a bit unpredictable, and while he did trust the girl quite a bit, he wasn't all that completely comfortable with her just yet, especially when she was angry. He looked back out into the forest with a slight shrug, still aware of the girl's position and wether he'd end up with a sword in him or not. "Out here, we're just really smart animals. Act like this is your home, and you'll start to believe it and relax a bit." It would take some time, he knew that...it had taken him a while back when he was younger and had first ventured out into the woods to escape his father. But the girl was smart and spry, and she'd figure it out quickly. Probably quicker than him, since really he was a stubborn fool most of the time. |

The curved blades of the crescent moons glinted in the morning sun. Madrigal's blood heated at the boy's nonchalance before she remembered that he knew nothing of her. Nothing of her past. And neither did she know him. She took a breath, softening her grip but not releaseing her blades. "It doesn't matter how long I spend in the woods, how long I spend becoming invisible, they will always be there," she said solemnly. She had spent weeks in the bush, months even. Time would not erase her past. Madrigal only pocketed her blades as they came up to the thick of the city. Her mind switched gears, concentrating on the task that lay ahead of them. Gather and go, she thought. And cause a little mayhem. That's all they really needed to do. |

Sage frowned slightly, though he didn't press the matter. He had to admit he was curious, but he wasn't going to ask the girl what, or who, she was talking about. He understood enough....his father would always be in the back of his mind. What he'd done. He was glad the girl calmed down a bit once they got to the city though, so they could get what they needed and get out. He glanced over at the girl, who quite obviously had her mind set in the task ahead. "You take that half and I'll take this half. I'll meet you back at the woods and we can head back to the cabin then." |
