He nodded and patted her shoulder. "Then imma go stitch myself up. I'll be back in a minute." He hopped off the ledge and sat down, quickly closing his wound before climbing back up onto the ledge with a grunt
He sat down next to her and leaned back against the cave wall. He decided to stay quiet, since she seemed to need it, and that was fine with him. He was tired - he had lost a decent amount of blood. He closed his eyes but stayed alert. He was tense and on guard and it would be a while before he would be able to actually relax.
She glanced at him. then she laid her head on his shoulder after shifting closer to him. she wasn't sure if she thought of this boy as a sibling or if she was slowly falling in love with him. She felt safe around him which was surprising with how much she has been hurt by men throughout her life. She slowly closed her eyes breathing softly as she relaxed "I'm sorry you got hurt.. I wasn't really prepared for someone to come along.. but thank you for protecting me... it means a lot" she spoke softly almost mumbling.
He chuckled softly. "I'm always getting myself hurt. Getting into fights is common out here. But you're welcome." It was probably the first time someone had thanked him for something that he could remember. It felt nice, and it felt odd to feel comfortable around someone. But he definitely liked it.
She woke up after awhile hearing the fire crackle she looked at the entrance of the cave it was getting dark already. she shifts slightly and laid her head on his lap, she glanced around a bit before falling back asleep.
