Dakota woke a bit later, smiling softly at Elijah and feeling nearly 100 percent better. She sat up, visibly stronger in her movements, and squeezed his hand

Elijah smiles, squeezing her hand back. "Oh, let me get Ethan, I assume you want to see him?" he asks, leaving for a second before bringing back their son. "Wanna show mama what you can do?" he asks and Ethan giggles. Elijah holds his hand for support. "Go on buddy" he says and Ethan starts taking wobbly steps towards Dakota with Elijah's support

Dakota quietly gasped, tears brimming in her eyes. "Ethan..."

Elijah smiles, lifting Ethan up onto the bed. "He's missed you"

Dakota smiled

Elijah kisses her head, "are you feeling better?"

Dakota nodded

Elijah smiles, "that's great!" He says
