Ryker lifted his eyebrows. "You can't see them unless you look in a mirror, so you can't say. They are beautiful." He answered stoutly, then snorted. "If it's a Boy, I can teach him to fight, but it's not like I can just give him big muscles!" He said with a slightly amused voice. "I had to work hard to look like this." He joked with a smile.

"I am grateful you worked hard to look like that. Makes protecting me easier" she poked at him. She jumped up, making a run for the bed although she had a sneaky suspicion he would catch her before she could get away.

Ryker snorted slightly. "If you have horses you kind of need some muscle." He answered before rocking up off the floor and just managing to catch her arm, letting a small grin come to his face- the first time he moved faster than she did!- and pulling her into a kiss. "We'll get through this together."

Abby giggled and whirled around in time to catch his kiss. "I don't have muscle" she lifted her arm and tried to make atleast some muscle show but none did. "But I guess my legs beg to differ" she looked down at her legs. "We will. We always will" she hugged him

Ryker glanced at her arms. "Ehhhh... for women it's much harder to get muscle to actually show. Doesn't mean you don't have them." He answered helpfully, then smiled. "But no one cares how much muscle you have. I do all the hard work." He teased, then nodded. "Which means no one has to worry." He added with a slight side eye towards her.

"You do do all the hard work" she gave a joking glare "don't you side eye me!" She poked his cheek then slid away from him, opening the door. "I'm getting a drink" she eyed the door to her room, being careful to stay quiet. If the kids were trying to take a nap then she didn't want to be the one to wake them. "Shhh" she whispered to Ryker before slipping into the kitchen for a glass of milk.

Ryker chuckled a little and smiled innocently. "I wasn't." He answered, obviously not true, his tone joking. "Okaay..." his voice faded off when she said shh. He laid back on the bed and stared at the ceiling, thinking.

Abby returned with a glass of milk. She loved milk. She claimed that was the reason she had never broken a bone. She placed the glass on the nightstand and pulled back the blanket, laying down for a few minutes before deciding she wasn't tired. She sat up and put her hand out to Ryker, grabbing his hand and placing it against her stomach. Edited at April 23, 2024 08:13 PM by Dandelion Farms

Ryker shimmied back to sit on the front of the bed, so he could lean against the wall. He waited until Abby came back before offering her a slight smile- which turned into a slight eye roll as she shuffled forward. "Just relax for once." He snorted, amused, looking at her. "I don't have words to express how happy I am." He shook his head with a small grin. "Even considering the circumstances, I still have you, and that little miracle you're caring for already."

"I can't relax. I'm not capable of relaxing. " she smiled at Ryker, gently poking at his fingertips "little miracle" she repeated.
