"Love you too....." She said, voice trailing off as exhaustion hit her like a train and she ached everywhere. A sort of pained expression appeared on her face

Elijah was worried. "Love? You okay?"

"It...hurts..." She breathed

Elijah presses the button. When the nurse comes in he gives a concerned look "she is in pain" he tells her worried

Dakota's monitors rose and fell more than usual, rapidly.

The nurse nodded, going to get the assigned doctor. When the doctor rushed in, he glanced at her monitors and ran his eyes over Dakota. "Did she hurt herself while falling?" He asked

Elijah shook his head. "She woke up and then told me that something hurts"

"Dakota? Could you gesture where you hurt?" The doctor asked, nodding at Elijah's explaination.

Dakota took a shaky breath. "Everywhere" She breathed

Elijah looks at the doctor worriedly.

The doctor nodded, a worried expression flashing across his face before he hid it once more. "I'll be right back. The best we can do now is give her morphine. We don't know exactly the problem, so we don't want to treat her wrong. I'm sorry." The doctor said, walking out

Elijah nods, feeling disappointed. He held her hand, tears flowing down his face
