Sage chuckled and shrugged. "Maybe a little bit," he mused after a moment. He was full, but it was really good
| |

"Just rest and i'll get you anything, 'kay?" She said softly, kissing his forehead
| |

Sage smiled softly and nodded, tugging her in to press a light kiss to her lips. "I appreciate you, you know," he hummed softly
| |

"I know, I just wish I could fix everything..." She said, a small tear rolling down her cheek as she kissed his forehead
| |

Sage hummed softly and shook his head. "You've been taking care of me," he pointed out. "You've done more than anyone ever has for me," he added
| |

"But I feel like I should do more"
| |

Sage smiled softly and chuckled. "Short of cutting my chest open and doing the surgery yourself, you've done everything," he noted softly. "Just be here for me. That's all I need."

Amira nodded, kissing his head
| |

Sage just smiled at her, finishing eating before moving to set the dirty dishes in the sink and then curling up on the couch again, watching Liz play on the floor happily
| |

As the moon rose and the sun fell, Amira put Liz to bed and headed back over to Sage. "How are you feeling, my love?" She asked, soft concern on her face
