Sage chuckled softly and wrinkled his nose. "Worlds about the same. Same president, got reelected I guess," he mused. "Though I live here, in the prison, so I don't know much about the outside world either," he admitted. He really didn't...a life on the streets didn't require knowledge of much other than survival.

Ally nodded slowly. "Wow. Okay..." She studied the scar on his face for a second. "Where- if you don't mind me asking- did you get the scar? Or... well how?"

Sage was caught off guard at her question but nodded. "Got whacked in the face with a beer bottle," he mused. "Pissed people off in a bar," he noted with a chuckle. It wasn't an abnormal occurrence, in his normal life.

"Sounds like you deserved it" she teased, tilting her head to the side and giggling. She fiddled with her fingers for a second, looking down to hide the slight blush on her cheeks. "Since you told me about your scar, I could tell you about my tatoo but you can't see it." She said softly, reaching back and gently rubbing the fabric on her left shoulder. "I had two horses, Figaro and Yoshi. When they died I had a picture I had taken of them tatooed onto my shoulder blade. They were touching noses and it was the only picture I had of them where they werent goofing off" she smiled sadly, letting her hand fall to her side again

Sage chuckled softly and nodded. "I definitely did," he mused, shaking his head. He raised his eyebrows when she mentioned she had a tattoo, nodding, genuinely interested. "That's cool," he noted. "The knife on my arm is for my mother," he admitted. "Most people don't believe it, but she took a knife for me when I was a toddler. Killed her, but I'm still around," he mused, rolling his sleeve up to show her the tattoo. Most people saw the scars and tattoos and piercings, and assumed the worst. And they were right, he wasn't a good guy. But it was because he had to be to survive.

Ally stdied the ink staining his skin. "That's horrible..." She shook her head, an image of a woman dying while her child is nearby flipping through her mind several times. "That's a cool memorial type gesture" she said quietly. "I was going to get a tatoo of my dog and a flower for my grandfather but I never did. Well... never had the chance to" SHe rubbed her wrist where she had once had cuffs. "I've noticed that the prisoners usually have cuffs when they come out here so... why not for me?"

Sage hummed softly and nodded, pulling his sleeve back down. "I don't remember much about her, but it's a lesson and I felt like I should have something," he admitted with a shrug. "Well, you and I can go get tattoos together once you're out," he noted with an easy grin. Then, at her next comment, he chuckled. "For one, if you tried anything the snipers on the roof would get to you before you took two wrong steps," he noted. "And two, you're not dangerous," he mused bluntly. She wasn't before, and now that he knew she was innocent she certainly wasn't dangerous.

Ally nodded slowly. "She gave her life for you. You walk around with her literally on your arm. It's beautiful, really" She noted. When he mentioned getting tatoos she perked up. "Really?" She bounced on her toes. "Yay!" She clasped her hands in front of her chest. She looked up at the towers surrounding the prison. "True." she said then she stopped walking. She let the words float through her head. "For two years I had drilled the words 'what have you done' and 'you're a monster' into my head... it's reassuring, i guess, for someone to tell me I'm not"

Sage hummed in thought, shrugging, not used to people saying the tattoos were good. Born badly they just saw the knife and freaked out. He couldn't help but grin on reaction to get comment thought, nodding along. "I know a great guy," he chirped. Then nodded when she spoke up again. "I can relate to that," he murmured

Ally smiled a little, tilting her head. She walked in silence, her eyes focusing on the tiny scraps of nature surrounding her. "Do we have to go straight from the cell to the office or is there a way to get a sneak peek of the world?"
