Florida swallowed back tears as Grace's mother began crying. She gently hugged her, leading her to a chair. Mr. Fullerton's expression softened for a second before his eyes found Sage again. Florida stepped in before he could become to angry. "Mr. Fullerton. Do you want to say goodbye..? It's too late to try to bring her back..." she mumbled, sadness making her normally bright eyes go dim. The father looked down at Florida. Grace had always called her a sister, and now Mr. Fullerton was looking at her as his only remaining child. He gave a slow nod then stepped to his wife, taking her hand and sitting beside Grace. Florida swallowed and looked at Sage. She didn't want to cry, but the air in the room... the sights and sounds... it made her eyes squeeze shut and tears slide down her cheeks. She swiped at them quickly, hiding her face from everyone and turning toward the door

Sage felt his shoulders relax when the parents just moved to say goodbye to their daughter. He had, admittedly, expected the man to blow up. Get angry. But Florida had calmed the situation. He kept the compressions going while they talked to their daughter before slowly stopping, having done as much as he physically could. He wiped the sweat from his face with his sleeve as he stepped away from grace, glancing over at Florida. "Let's give them a few minutes of privacy," he murmured, moving to stagger out of the room and lean against the wall, trying to catch his breath. He heard a small movement from down the hallway, and he looked over at where the noise came from, confused when he didn't see anyone. Something didn't feel right though, so he frowned and pushed himself away from the wall, moving a few cautious steps forward. Itw as only then that he saw the man there, and in the same moment a gun went off, and he collapsed, blood soaking through his scrubs. He let out a snarl, writhing around when the man stepped forward and tried to grab him, but he was in pain and loosing a lot of blood, and he was easily being over powered. It was evident the man had practice dealing with werewolves, since the first thing he did was pin him down and slip a muzzle over his face so he couldn't bite him.

Florida stepped out of the room and looked at Sage. What was he thinking? Was he used to things like this? Did he even care? She sat down on the floor and sighed. When Sage pushed off of the wall she stood and glanced around. "What's wro-" she froze and jumped back when a man appeared out of nowhere and attacked him. "Sage!" she yelled, getting the attention of the Fullerton's in the room. The father came out, stopping for a second before tackling the attacker, throwing him to the side. Florida jumped up and ran to Sage's side and fell beside him, ulling the muzzle from him. "S-Sage are you alright?"

The whole thing had only lasted for a few seconds, but his mind was still whirling once the man was torn off of him. He heard a thud, and upon seeing the man flop to the ground, figured he'd been knocked out from hitting his head on something. Good.....they had some time to figure out what to do with him. He noticed the girl next to him after a moment, and moved to look up at her, attempting to get himself under a bit of control, patting her leg gently and huffing out a heavy breath, trying to just...breathe. "I'm alright," he murmured faintly, moving to feel the wound...he'd been shot in the side, but it could have been a lot worse. "The bullet hit a rib....i think it's fractured but I doubt it would have broken it," he added after a moment, sort of just flopping his head down on the floor and shaking his head. "Grab me the pliers and suture kit from that cart," he noted after a moment, pointing into the room next to them. It wasn't a huge deal... he'd been shot before, and he'd always managed to sew himself up well enough. He was already on the verge of passign out though, so he knew he had limited time to work before he just flopped over.

She looked down as his hand gently tapped her knee. She nodded her head and jumped up, grabbing the supplies he needed. She returned, placing them in his waiting hands. "here you go. I don't need to help right?" She glanced up and Mr. Fullerton had his knee against the attackers throat, putting slight pressure in order to keep him down. "thank the Lord I was a police officer" he grunted, his arms pinning down the wrists on the man under him

Sage let out a heavy breath when she ran for the supplies, thanking her breathlessly when she came back. He heasitated for a moment, shaking his head and chuckling slightly. "No, not unless you know how to stitch me up once I yank the bullet out of my rib," he noted. It was a hard spot to reach, and his hands were shaking, so someone else could probably do a better job than him, but he doubted any of them would want to do that. Or know how. He did glance over at the man holding the attacker down, and mumbled a thanks before moving to move his scrubs up and to the side so he could find the bullet and get it out of him. They could deal with what happened to the attacker later.

"Oh that looks terible..." she helped him move his scrubs out of the way then stepped back. Her mind was spinning and she couldn't even rocess anything other than the information handed straight to her. She looked around, stepping backward and bumpng into a wall. Florida turned and went straight into Mrs. Fullerton's awaiting arms

Sage murmured a thanks to the girl when she held his shirt out of the way, shaking his head at her comment. "I'm lucky the bone stopped it. If it had hit an organ I'd bleed out on the floor. Can't exactly do a surgery on myself," he noted with a dry chuckle. He had found the bullet by then, and grit his teeth together, a somewhat loud noise coming from his rib as the bullet came out. He let out a small growl of pain but moved to quickly work at sticking himself up, hoping he'd get it done before he passes out. Which he could feel coming fairly soon.

Florida gently touched his arm when he winced, hoping to give some comfort in any way she could. "Well I don't think it would be good to die here when everyone has already witnessed so much death." +especially me+ she thought as she looked down at him. Mr. Fullerton led the man out of the hospital and didn't return immediately. Mrs. Fullerton stepped out of the room, her hand over her mouth in shock as she slowly walked away, ignoring Florida and Sage. Flo looked up and let her eyes follow the woman as she left the building. "They both left... I guess they are done with their goodbye..." She looked towards the door of Grace's room.

Sage chuckled slightly in response to Floridas comment, nodding along with her. "It certainly wouldn't help anyone," he mused, finishing his stitches after a few more minutes and setting the bloodied tools down, wiping his hands on his scrubs with a sigh, looking where the woman had wandered off. "Yeah," he murmured. "Well have to talk with them about where they want her buried," he murmured after a moment, fighting to think clearly by then. It wasn't really happening though....he probably just needed a nap. He hated to do it during all this though.
