yes of course lucky you :( - Matt let himself get dragged out of the car by his mother as they arrived at the set restaurant, though it took a lot of persuasion. He had originally set on not going and simply just sneaking out to go and see friends before the evening started, but unfortunately his father was too smart for that, and so he had to go. The past couple of days his mind had purely been on Elowyn and both the kisses, which he hated himself for. About half an hour before that they were hurling arguably very hurtful thingd towaards each other. He followed his parents into the restaurant and eventually to the table slowly, scanning his surroundings. The whole theme of the place seemed to be a deep, wine red, so much so that he just resorted to looking down, figuring his legs would be more interesting. As everyone else sat down and started talking he pulled his phone out to stare at the screen aimlessley instead, dreading when everyone else arrived.

The last few days had been hell. Between school, a Track Meet, and Matt, her mind wa practically out the window. She let out a soft sigh as they pulled up to the restaurant, sliding out of the car as they parked. She gently readjusted her dress- an almost skin tight cocktail dress that showed all her curves and cut off at her mid thigh. Not to mention, it was sleeveless. It hadn't been her first pick but her Mother had practically forced her into it. She glanced at her heels and simply started walking in, twisting a curl around her finger gently. Her Mother had also suggested the deep red lipstick she was currently self conscious about, but if it showed, neither parent mentioned it. She let her Mother lead the way to their table, letting out a small breath as she saw Matt. She sat across from him at her mothers direction, fiddling with her hands in her lap.

Matt had only looked up as he spotted Elowyn, pressing his lips together so he didnt smile, amused by the fact she looked just as bored as him. He put his phone away and spoke as the waitress asked what drinks they'd like, then looking over at his mother. She had disengaged from the conversation at hand and felt the need to speak to Elowyn instead, much to Matt's dissaproval. "So how are you doing?" She asked, leaning forward. Her usual jolly demeanour wasnt present, and instead she had a serious somehwat judgy look on her face. Matt knew she wasnt judging Elowyn by any means, but it sure as hell looked like it. He sighed and sat back as she started talking, biting his lip a little nervously as his mother followed up with a "How are you both getting on?" Clearly talking about Matt. If she wanted to, Elowyn could rat him out to his mother right at that moment.

Wyn looked up and ordered herself a drink, smiling when she wasn't carded. She blinked politely as Mrs. Caruso addressed her, startled by the judgemental look. She tilted her head and cleared her throat before she spoke, lacing her fingers together in her lap. "I'm doing well. Track and college are both on the right track." She answered, about to mirror the question when she asked another. She glanced at Matt, only a half-second of hesitation before she answered. "Well. Your son can be really lovely." She nodded politely.

Matt breathed out a sigh of relief at Elowyns answer, glad she hadn't just spurted out some stuff that his mother would most definitely hold over his head after the dinner. He looked away from the conversation at hand and at his phone, ignoring the remarks from his father. His mother smiled at Elowym for a brief couple of seconds, clasping her hands together. "I'm glad" She said, her words simple and leaving nothing to add on to in an actual conversation. "You seem to be keeping him on his toes at least." She added, looking away with a sigh. Matt glanced at Elowyn with a somewhat apologetic look, standing up and explaining he was going to get something from the car. There wasn't any way he was staying throughout the whole dinner.

Wyn blinked in surprise as what sounded vaguely like an insult, tilting her head and making sure to keep her voice polite. "Am I? How so?" She asked curiously, glancing at Matt and just catching his look. She watched him stand, mirroring the action. "Mind if I come with? I could use the fresh air." She asked lightly.

Matts mother didn't answer Elowyns question, though it was most likely because she didn't hear having engaged in conversation with her parents right away. Matt turned around as Elowyn spoke to him, offering a small smile. "Sure." Was all he said, darting off outside only a couple seconds later, turning round once he had left to make sure she was following. As they both got outside he looked at Elowyn briefly, leaning against the wall a little around from the doorway. "Not enjoying it either?" He asked with a small smile, fiddling with the bottom of his shirt.

Wyn gave him a slightly relieved smile as he agreed, following him out. She took in a deep breath as they hit the outdoors, then gave a small sigh. "Not at all. I can't believe I got dragged here." She muttered, giving a small stretch. "Hasn't even started and we're both desperate to escape." She teased.

Matt nodded, looking up as a car pulled in to the parking space he was stood next to, rather close to his feet. He frowned at them and stepped sideways, turning to Elowyn. "Just slightly." He eventually said, flashing her a somewhat tired smile. He knew that the longer they stayed out there the more angry his father would end up getting, but at that point he did not care. After a couple seconds Matt looked up, eyeing the cars in the car park. Then, his gaze landed on his parents car. "We could always get out of here you know?" He asked, looking at the shiny black SUV that was parked just a little way away from them. "After all I have the keys." He added, pulling them out his pocket with a smile.

Wyn watched in interest as a car pulled up, impolitely close to Matt. She glanced up at his words and smiled. "Just slightly? That seems like a lie if I ever heard one." She mocked, leaning back against the building and lightly adjusting her dress. She turned her head to him for the suggestion, an small, amused smile on her lips. "We could. What would you suggest we do once we steal your parents very expensive car?" She teased, crossing her arms and turning fully to face him.
