Ajax internally snorted, but he didn't axctually do it. "Well then I was speaking in Scottish Gaelic. I said goobye." He answered. "Not too terribly important... although it is a good way to annoy you when needed." Ajax added with a grin, though it faded quickly and got replaced with a slightly pained look as Mercy yet again stuffed rags into his back to stop bleeding. Not exactly his version of fun

"Oh, wonderful. You do love to annoy me, dont you?" Mercy teased, looking at him with a remorseful gaze. "...I'm sorry, Ajax." She muttured, her face of perpetual concern once again revealed to him. She looked off with a little sigh. "I never should've- done any of what I did in the past few hours."

Ajax smiled slightly, but he still looked a little pained. That was probably notmal for someone with his wounds. Ajax managed to tilt his head slightly as he looked at Mercy's sad gaze. "What did you do?" He sounded genuinely confused. His brain didn't remember Mercy doing anything wrong...

"I challenged you. I knew you would rise to the bait, and then you got hurt, and now you're even worse, and it's all my fault." She said, sounding distressed. "I'm an angel. I'm not supposed to get people hurt." She frowned, looking back down at him. "I'm really surprised you don't blame me."

Ajax's eyes saddened slightly, but he also looked amused. He decided now was a good time to move his body, taking his arms and pushing himself up with a grunt of pain so he was leaning against a tree. "Well I wasn't the smartest for rising to the bait, that wasn't your fault." Ajax started, then his voice became serious. "Mercy, you shouldn't be surprised I don't blame you. It's not your fault, you did nothing wrong. Bellatrix was going to come after me at some point. I was going to get mad and go after her at some point. Those things were unavoidable. You shouldn't feel sorry at all, because I'm here... I'm alive... and who cares about a couple minor wounds? At least I have you to stitch them back up whenever they bleed again." He finished, the last part in a teasing voice.

She watched him get up anciously, folding her legs up when he seemed decent enough to lean against the tree. She stared determinedly qt the ground as he spoke, holding her knees ti her chest slightly. She looked back at him as he finished, swallowing. "That doesn't make it any better that I caused it, I never should've done it to begin with." She said, getting frustrated with herself. She flopped her head forward to rest on her knees. "At least I can make it up to you. You get to give me a dare." She said, attempting to be less pitiful. She felt horrible. She was supposed to be soothing him and he was doing the opposite.

Ajax sighed slightly, glancing down at his hands. Now that he was propped upright against the tree with less amouns of pain shooting through him, he began an examination of his bruised body. His arms had a bunch of small cuts that still resided there since Mercy had focused her attention on keeping the bigger wounds from killing him. The left one had a deep wound in the forearm that ached and stung, but Ajax could live. His legs were covered in gashes, and Ajax knew mostly because his black jeans had about a thousand small rips in them. His gaze traveled up to his torso when he winced, knowing (and feeling) that was the part of him that had taken the brunt of the attack. Since he didn't favor staring at a huge hole in his chest he decided to go back to comforting Mercy. Even though Ajax wasn't that good at it, he could try... plus it would take his mind off everything that happened. "You didn't cause it though. For one, it was completely Rooster's fault because he picked Bellatrix." Ajax flashed a charming smile. "And for two, you had absolutely no idea this would happen. It's not your fault, so stop acting like a weeping willow and cheer up." he added with a slight snort, raising his eyes to look at Mercy again, a mischevious twinkle showing. "Ah, and I will make it a good dare to be sure." Ajax commented with a smooth voice

She watched him inspect himself and listened to him speak quietly. She couldnt help but break into a small smile at his first sentence, almost giggling. She huffed at him. "I am not weeping you broken penguin." She added indignantly, giving him a playful glare. "Oh, yay. What ideas have you got so far?" She asked, uncurling her knees and settling on her side to look at him. She made the decision to stop moping simply because she felt bad about doing that too, and she was trying her hardest to dig herself out of the large hole she had made.

"Oh you're not? Ya fooled me. Fine then, a mourning cow? Or is it a mooing cow, I can't remember. How 'bout a mournful moose. Or a sad snake?" Ajax inquired, raising an eyebrow and watching Mercy with a twinkle in his eye. "Absolutely nothing." He answered cheerfully, giving her a side glance. "And if I did I wouldn't tell you." He added. Ajax was feeling, thanfully, a lot better... so he finally started getting back to his grumpy self. Noticing things like how close Mercy was, that she had to literally stick her hands in him to heal his poor wounds, and that he STILL didn't have a shirt on. Ajax wanted to huff but he knew it would hurt, so he just sat there with a slightly grumpy expression.

"If you call me a cow again, I just might become a snake and bite you." She grumbled, not entertained with his suggestions. "Ugh. Thats no fun. I'm impatient, why can't you figure it out now?" She huffed sarcastically. "Oh, don't get grumpy now, you were semi-happy for a whole five minutes!" She teased, looking at his grumpy expression. He looked like he either needed a nap or had smelled something bad.
