Sage slept for a while like that before waking and shifting with a slight groan as his body protested it all. He noticed Quinn up and about ..but she looked tired. "You know you can sleep," he rasped, his throat dry and scratchy from yelling. "That's what I plan on doing until everything stops hurting," he mumbled. He noted the fact that she wasn't wearing much....but he was too tired to even blush. He curled back up into the blanket she'd put over him thankfully and closed his eyes again, falling asleep rather quickly. He was pretty thirsty, but he was too tired to go to the river and drink. Plus, everything still hurt, a lot, so he didn't really want to get up and move.

Quinn shifted as she heard something, then whirled around as Sage peeked out, getting startled. She blushed. "So sorry." She mumbled. "I put some water by your bed..." then she got up and walked to check on the horses again, slipping on her t shirt and and pants back on, thinking, "That was stupid. You should have known he'd wake up and look out!" She rolled her eyes at herself, then started brushing Sahara.

Sage had dimly heard the girl, but he had fallen back asleep by then. He woke up a little while later, and looked around before seeing the water. He reached over, wrinkling his nose in pain as he stretched to reach it. He downed the water gratefully, though, before curling back up and falling asleep again.

Quinn by then was brushing Chaos, hoping he didn't kick her. She was currently working on getting the mats out of his mane, working hard. She glanced back as Sage drank the water, then fell asleep again. So was so tired... she sighed and dropped the brush, walking to the tent and curling up on the blankets, falling asleep immediately Edited at March 26, 2023 10:38 AM by Wild Warmbloods

Sage didn't move when Quinn lay down...he was out cold again. He woke up a bit later though, to see her sound asleep next to him. He shifted slightly and drifted off again, and in his sleep he sort of shifted over so he was kind of curled up against the girl, subconsciously drawn to the comfort her warmth brought.

Quinn was out so cold she didn't even feel Sage shift against her, and she curled up tighter, cold now that she didn't have a blanket on her. She hoped the horses were okay...

She curled up tighter, shifting closer to Sage with the warmth radiating through him. She almost thought about calling a war, deer to come sleep with them or something. She didn't wake up, but if she would have Quinn would have covered Sage with the blanket and probably left. This night was colder than all the others, it dropping down to 35, and she didn't even have a sweatshirt

Sage ended up curled around the girl by the middle of the night, arm wrapped around her waist and everything. She was just so warm, and he was cold. Besides, when he woke up briefly to drag blankets over them, she didn't seem to mind, and they were going to be married, so it wasn't all so bad.

The girl stayed out till the morning, then woke up silently. She looked startled to see blankets over her, and even more startled to see Sage curled up against her, but she gently removed his arm and covered him back up with the blanket, getting up. She felt much better, not as tired anymore. Quinn walked over to the river, knowing Sage would sleep for a little longer she took off her t shirt and pants leaving just the tank top and shorts on and dove into the water, scrubbing her hands and face and waking herself up. Sahara came splashing in, she sprayed Quinn. Quinn rolled his eyes and made a small wave splash Sahara's legs.

Sage slept for a bit longer, until his eyes fluttered open and he stretched with a small groan. He was still pretty sore, but that would last for a few days. He felt much better than yesterday though, so he supposed that was all he could ask for. Chaos stuck his head I to the tent, huffing a breath onto sages cheek, and he chuckled slightly, reaching over to stroke the black stallion fondly. "Hey buddy," he murmured lightly. He had to admit, it was nice to see him while he was waking up. Made for a nice, easy wake up. He just hoped Quinn wouldn't get upset by the fact that they'd ended up tangled together.
