07:43:15 Geek On the bright side, I just bred my very first brindle foal!

07:42:24 Granny C Yep, when they get violent, their cheese is gone. |
07:42:08 Green|Gren|Grenlin @Geek Sounds like mine, she used to cut the cord to the tv if she couldn't watch it/ someone else was using it |
07:40:30 Granny C Geek - sorry to hear you are going thru all that. It won't be forever. |
07:38:52 Geek Green
My grandmother used to throw coffee mugs, and the one night, her and my dad were arguing, and she flipped the entire kitchen table. |
07:38:00 Green|Gren|Grenlin @Revel Lmao I've been asked what happened to the sweet child that would do anything for them...I grew up thats what lol
@Geek Yikes yeah I've been through that, even gotten physical a few times over dishes. I've worked since I was 15 while in school and often had to come home to cook for two grown adults. |
07:35:41 Geek Granny C She's only 50/60 somethin'. I'm just so fucking tired of this shit. I do one little slip up, it's the end of the world. She takes my cousins out, and they don't get back till 11, 12 at night. Never asks me or my brother if we wanna go. My grandfather, the one who died, was in a dementia nursing home, and it was almost 3k a single day. |
07:33:44 @Green, that is why I love being an adult. So many people say they miss childhood, but you could not pay me to go back and experience having no control over how people treat me or who I interact with. |
07:33:21 Granny C Geek - oh my, maybe it's time for the 'home' for dear old grandma. Sounds like her cheese has slid off her cracker. |
07:32:50 Geek Green
Yeah. I mean, I'm grateful she's letting us live in her house, and I don't mind the chores. There's 4 adults here, and five kids. She don't make my cousins do most of the chores, it's always me and my brother. -_- |
07:31:31 Geek Granny C
Nope, can't correct her. It'd start a full on argument, and I'd be called an asshole, or other things. I've tried in the past. That day, she told everyone I called her a bitch, when my mom, who heard everything, had to call my dad. I did not call her a bitch. |
07:30:21 Green|Gren|Grenlin The double edge sword about becoming a total independent adult is watching how family learns that they have no authority to hang over me anymore and I can just up and leave conversations. People are learning the hard way that I've dropped my people pleasing act. |
07:28:55 My cat just sighed like the weight of the world is on his little shoulders. He's justa babeh |
07:26:26 Granny C Geek - maybe grandma needs to be remined, she's forgotten things a time or two and nobody's perfect. |
07:18:46 [1k+ brindles] Angel Black not white lol I hope I don't have to use white... |
07:17:19 [1k+ brindles] Angel Shouldn't have even bought white. This is Georgia we don't get that cold XD |
07:14:57 [1k+ brindles] Angel -Click- My temperature blanket spread sheet :D |
07:11:13 Geek My grandmother is pissing me off. I have six classes a day to do, and I do other shit in between classes. Yet, she wants to bitch because I forget to do one thing. One thing! So can't wait to move out of the damn house. She's always exaggerating shit, and makes me feel like shit. -_- |
07:10:56 I just bought the bee pattern. Now I need to find time to go to the store and buy yarn and crochet hooks. |

Quinn let a faint smile play on her lips at his words, enjoying the warmth of his skin against hers. "I can help make that happen." She murmured, letting her eyes close as she drifted off, blackness enveloping her vision. Hours later she was awoken by the sound of Frynn, and the first thing she thought was how the heck did the babies sleep so long. She was relieved they did, though. Quinn grumbled under her breath, though she had to slip away from Sage, quickly getting dressed to grab Frynn and quiet the baby. She fed the impatient little girl, who took a rather long time eating, and by the time Frynn was finished even Caspian peeped a couple complaints. Quinn smiled slightly and took the small boy up next, starting to feed him as well. She felt well rested, even though she only got a couple hours of sleep, and rather happy as well. She glanced over at Sage with a smile, so thankful that she had him. All he ever did was help her and support her- he was amazing.

Sage had hummed lightly in response to her comment before passing out, still curled around her. He heard frynn start crying after a while, and shifted, groaning slightly when he felt the warmth that was Quinn leave the bed. He sort of settled back down though, waiting for Quinn to come back once the babies had been fed. He couldn't really help with that anyway, so he may as well just wait for her. Besides...he was tired. No doubt she was too, so she'd come back, so he just drifted in and out of the half asleep stage until then.

Quinn finished feeding Caspian, letting out a slow, tired breath as she put the boy back. He fell asleep right away. She slipped back under the covers afterward, her eyes shutting almost immediately. She was still tired, even though rested. A couple more hours later, Quinn had been awake for ten minutes and hadn't moved, but she wasn't going to sit still any longer. She was being rather unproductive. She rolled out of bed with a low grunt, yawning widely. After feeding both babies again, she disappeared outside, sucking in a deep breath and smiling. Fresh air. She swiftly started a fire, then put some roots on to start warming up, feeling very awake. She cleaned up a little before grabbing the gardening tools and the seeds, striding quickly out to the garden and starting her work. She didn't do too much, as she was determined to make Sage live up to his promise, but she did prepare the soil for everything to be planted.

Sage had limpeted back onto Quinn when he felt her slide back into bed, falling asleep again quickly after that. He didn't move when she got up next, but woke up only around a half n hour after her, and got up with a groan once he realized she was already up and working. He got dressed quickly, before checking to make sure the babies were still asleep and opening the windows so they could hear once they woke from outside the cabin, and grabbed a handful of jerky and a canteen before wandering out to join Quinn where she was kneeling in the dirt. "you know, you spend this much time in the garden you'll become a plant yourself," he noted in a teasing manner, leaning against the house the garden was up against, chewing on the jerky happily.

Quinn was focused on prepping the soil, so she didn't notice Sage till she heard a footstep, and she stood like a lightning bolt and had a dagger out within milliseconds. Then she saw who it was, and she wilted. "I wasted by quick reaction time on a less than threat!" She complained with a grin, sheathing the dagger and kneeling back down. "Do you want to eat? Without plants I won't feed you meat." She waved a garden tool at him with a chuckle, finishing the last row and standing, brushing her dirty hands off. "There. Now you can help me plant seeds. Are the kids alright?" Quinn inquired as she approached him, pecking him on the lips with a smile before waiting for an answer. She guessed they were fine, as he had come out here, but still... she was just being careful. As she waited, a vision flashed into her mind of Jack sneering as he leaned in towards her. She winced, rubbing her forehead for a moment. She had, truthfully, been terrified when she heard the footstep. The only thing she could think was that Jack found them and it was her fault. Her fault for letting him in and trusting him. She deserved to be taken advantage of, at that point.

Sage had chuckled when Quinn whirled around, holdign his hands up in mock surrender in response to her complaint. "Sorry," he chuckled, though he was obviously more amused than anything. He shoved the last bit of food into his mouth and grunted lightly as she continued to talk, knowing she was probably right but not willign to admit it. "They have the grass," he noted with a shrug, kissing her back and nodding when she asked abotu the kids. "Still sound asleep," he chirped. "I opened the windows so we can hear when they wake up," he added lightly, though his brows furrowed when she winced. "You alright," he asked carefully. He wasn't sure what had happened when she'd been on her own...well she'd had the kids with her but that didn't really count....but he was admittedly a little worried about it now that she'd winced and such a couple times. Had something happened?

Quinn cast a playful glare at him. "You look very sorry." She said sarcastically, glancing at the forest line before letting her gaze return to him. "Good." She answered ar his explanation about the kids, glad that he opened the windows. Since he was still in there, She hadn't bothered. She was still thinking about the horrible couple days she had spent in the town, and each flitting memory made her wonder why she hadn't left sooner. Every time she had played it off, but she shouldve easily seen what Jack was doing. She shuddered a little as she thought about it, her gaze snapping up as he spoke. "Oh.. yeah. Yeah I'm fine." Quinn offered a faint smile that was less than convincing, handing him a tool and a packet of seeds. "Can- can you plant this row? Just poke a hole, push the seed in, and cover it up." She pointed towards a row on the ground, trying to get off the subject of whether she was okay or not. Honestly, she wasn't at all. Two nights ago she had been haunted by nightmares, but she hadn't said anything, because it was HER fault. SHE trusted Jack. SHE left. Whatever happened, she deserved.

Sage had chuckled when she huffed out her little complaint and nodded when she mentioned it was good he'd thought to open the windows and such. Though, his brows furrowed slightly when she said she was alright....she certainly didn't look alright, and he definitely didn't believe her. But he wasn't going to push her. Not unless he absolutely had to. He did make a mental note to just keep an eye on her, though. He took the little packet of seeds she'd handed him, squinting at it as he tried to read the directions. "I can try," he mused after a moment, figuring if he was doing something wrong she'd let him know. He plopped down on the grass then, doing his best to do what she'd said....hole, seed, cover. His lines of seeds were definitely a bit...rougher looking than hers, and they weren't straight no matter how hard he tried, but he was doing his best. This wasn't really his strong suit. But he knew Quinn liked it, and he liked seeing her happy, so he was trying. It was rather amusing to him, though, that he could do things like hunt and fish and stall prey and fight, but a simple line of seeds he had to plant was....not very good. He caught Quinn hiding a laugh a couple of times, which led to a mock pout and blush on his end. Eventually though, they got their seeds planted, and he flopped over onto his back with a dramatic groan.

Quinn waited a bit anxiously, not wanting him to ask. She didn't want to bring Jack up- it would just make everything worse. She didn't really know how Sage would react, either, and the thought that he may get angry scared her. She didn't want to be anything but the perfect wife anymore, as she had already made too many big mistakes. Thankfully, he didn't press, which made a relieved expression flit across her face. She put it behind her as she got to work, finishing three rows by the time he finished one. She glanced over occasionally and stifled a laugh at his troubles. Paired with his confused expression, it was extremely comical. As he collapsed, she was still snorting with laughter, even though he tried to hide it. She wandered over to him and crouched down, grinning. "You weren't built for gardening work, were you? Guess the best hunter in the world can't sit out in the sun for an hour." She teased lightly. Honestly, this had been one of the easiest parts. It wasn't even that hot out today. For her, it was more like a relaxing time.

Sage had groaned in response to her comment, shaking his head slightly and letting his arms flop to the sides. "No, I most definitely was not," he noted with a chuckle. "The sun is fine. Making a straight line is the hard part," he snorted, though rather amused by it all. He was grinning over at her the whole time. "It's worth it to see you grinning like that though," he noted, moving his head up to peck her on the lips lightly before letting his head flop back down into the grass.
