Sage chuckled and winked. "Well I dare say I fell from the sky to grace your presence," he joked. Then he shrugged. "It was laid out on the bed, so I figured I'd wear it to the party or whatever." He shrugged again and sat up. "Speaking of which, people are ready gathering so we should probably get going soon," he admitted, though staying with Anya sounded great. But they couldn't hold themselves up or people would wonder.

Anya gave a smile and shook her head. "It looks good! It's a shame I'm gonna take it off later though." She teased before giving a nod. She was kinf of mentally preparing herself for the afternoon with her family... it would be carnage. If the public saw the way they all got on new years, how drunk the adults got and how out of control the kids had gotten, they probably wouldn't let them rule at all. "Yeah, ok." She sighed softly before hopping off the bed and wandering out the door, beckoning him to follow along. They'd all probably be in one of the bigger lounges... well, she assumed so, considering all the maids were rushing off in that direction.

Sage grinned at her back ass he followed her to the door. "Well it's a good thing you think I look good when you undress me like that," he giggled, in an attempt to tease the girl. He wasn't sure how she'd respond, though he knew it wouldn't be negitively. Besides, she had started it. And she'd have to respond before she opened the door...so they'd get that extra minute or two together before the party.

Anya couldn't help the laugh that escaped her when he replied to her teasing. "Oh?" She hummed, admittedly a little blush covered her face. "Well, I could undress you in anything and still have it all on the floor in seconds." She shrugged slightly before taking his hand and wandering a little faster down the hall, knowing she had gotten herself pretty flustered abbot what she'd just said

Sage chuckled and followed the girl, the blush covering his cheeks more than enough to make him warm despite the cold wheather. But, like always, she'd won the argument and gotten him all flustered. Though, he had to admit he kind of liked it that way....after all, he was strong, so he needed a strong (and slightly bossy) woman, right?

Anya skipped along to one of the biggest lounges, a slight smirk on her face before pausing outside and letting go of Sage. She hoped he'd make more of an effort to talk to people this time, to get in their good books, make some friends. "Remember to just have fun - relax - ans try and talk to people other than me and Luther. They'll like you for it, I promise. Be yourself." She shrugged before giving a small smile and pecking him on the cheek before letting go again and wandering in the warm lobby with a grin on her face.

Sage chuckled and nodded, following the girl inside. As before, the crowd in the lobby made him tense up, though not nearly as much as before. He barely noticed it...it was more of an instinct than anything by then he supposed. He wasn't really the overly happy smiley type, but he tried not to look like he was giving everyone in the room a death glare. Tried to look at least approachable, like Anya had said. He'd talk if people wanted to, and we're respectful about it. If not, he was content to stand near the fire and just listen.

Anya wandered in the room and found her usual spot in a chair, pretty much in the middle of everyone. She let Sage do what he pleased, and if it'd be standing on the outside of all the noise, or trying to get involved a little, that'd be up to him. Though, she could tell he was at least trying not to look grumpy... which was a good thing. A couple of the younger children had run up to him at some point, bugging him to play or whatever they were wanting to do. Anya, though, was enjoying being with everyone. It hadn't been long since Christmas, but it felt like she hadn't really spoken to anyone in so long. And, as a plus, her father was there... chatting away and laughing his stupidly loud laugh. It was already loud... gossiping about other families in their social status and talking about vain news such a the latest dresses and social events. All of which Anya happily got involved with. It was still quite early in the day... well, nearly noon, but drinks were already being served and chugged. She's be surprised if any of the older family members actually made it to midnight, or if they'd just be passed out drunk by then... she didn't care. She assumed both she and Sage would be out of there before it had gotten to that point.

Sage wandered around, staying somewhat close to Anya but not really in the center of things either. When the group of little kids came up to him eagerly, he was surprised for a moment before smiling and kneeling down so he was at eye level to them. They talked and laughed and Sage found himself enjoying their company...they were different than the adults in the room. In a good way, of course. Anya had previously said they were annoying and he just didn't see it. Though, they seemed to like him more than Anya so far ...that probably had something to do with it. Eventually sage wound up telling them a whole bunch of stories after running around with them for so long. One of them actually fell asleep in his arms, so he ended up carrying the little girl around for the rest of the night.

Anya found herself actually getting involved in the gossip... putting a word or two in. Now, that wasn't like her at all, but she supposed she changed a little when she was with her family members. Or maybe she just changed when she wasn't with them, but she didn't really know for sure. She had spotted Sage running around with the kids, to which she just smiled. She didn't like them that much, but they didn't like her all that much either, so she supposed it was all fair. It was sweet all the same, though. They really just chatted around for a few hours... catching up on everything. It was nice... during Christmas, she was so concerned about making sure Sage was enjoying himself, that he was comfortable with everyone, though this time, he did seem a little more at ease. Soon enough, people were heading over to the banquet hall, a few people already stumbling around like idiots. Ok, so maybe the royals didn't have the best resistance against alcohol, but who could blame them? It wasn't like they got to celebrate an awful lot. Anya waited a little for people file out before looking over to Sage who was still holding the little girl, a small smile on her face. "Everyone's going to get some food... you hungry?" She asked the boy quietly, attempting not to wake her little cousin - the same one that had taken a liking to the boy on Christmas.
