Sage nodded when the doctor came in, offering the man a tired smile and thanks. He let the doctor check over him briefly, then grinned over at Amira once he was gone. "I can't wait for my own bed," he chuckled. "These aren't the most comfortable mattresses ever," he added lightly.

"You got a bed, I got a chair and a heart attack."

Sage chuckled softly and shrugged. "I got my check cracked open," he mused. "If we're comparing experiences I think I win," he teased. Really neither of them had a great time here but he could joke. "Besides, you can join me up here," he pointed out softly.

"I know..." She muttered, running a light hand around his stitches

Sage hummed softly, watching her fingers move over his chest since there wasn't much he could really do laying there. " Don't worry...well all be ok, and home soon," he noted softly

Timeskipping here....) Amira watched Sage warily as she climbed out of the car and walked into the house, carrying Liz

|
|

|
(good idea lol) Sage had promised Amira he could walk just fine to get into the house. The doctors had insisted on wheelchairing him to the car, but it was literally twenty feet to the house once the car was parked, so he figured he was fine. He pretty much collapsed on the couch exhausted once he got inside, but he did make it so he felt rather good about himself.

"Do you need anything, love?" She asked after putting Liz down for a nap.

Sage shook his head in response to her question, laying on the couch and catching his breath. Then he reconsidered. "Actually...could you grab me a glass of water I can keep over here," he asked tiredly

Amira nodded and hurried to grab him a glass of water, bringing it to him
