Sage giggled and squirmed around, giving Anya a fake pouty face. "No," he he laughed in a pretty dramatic voice, trying to grab her hands. She moved around, though, and he wasn't trying overly hard to stop her ...he was enjoy their cheesy little tickle fight. He could quite easily have stopped the girl if he really wanted her to stop, but he didn't and she knew that. He also knew that soon they'd be wrapped up again, most likely with Anya on top of him since she was already leaning over him trying to tickle him. Well, tickling him...it was definitely working. He had no idea he was ticklish until Anya had started in in the poking...though he had to admit he was perfectly fine with her knowing that about him and taking advantage of it....the same way she took advantage of his reactiveness or recklessness or whatever other thing she liked to tease him about. He was having fun though, and he was slowly waking up more and more as he wriggled about under the covers. There wasn't really anywhere for him to go without falling off the bed, either.

Anya felt her grin only get wider the more she made him laugh. In all honesty, she thought it was the best sound she could hear... well, anything that Sage said would be more than perfect to her, but his laugh, paired with a bright smile, that was something else. "Gotcha!" She giggled, rather childishly at their little play fight. She found herself laughing along with him as she tickled his sides, only light touches really, but he seemed to be so receptive to it. She kind of threw one leg over his side kind of in a straddle to limit his squirming the best she could, avoiding his rather half-hearted attempts to stop her. She knew full well that if he really wanted to stop her then he would have, so let herself enjoy the next few minutes. She knew she'd missed him over the last few days, for sure, but she was even more excited to have him back than she had originally thought she was. She maybe loved him a little more than she had thought too.

Sage could feel a light blush spread cross his face when she straddled him, though he quite honestly didn't mind. It wouldn't stick out, most likely, since his face was already flushed a bit from laughing so much. He knew they were really just screwing around at this point, though they did have the potential to get more intimate, he supposed. But he didn't really care....the tickling was quite fine. Her fingers were like feathers....barely noticeable but also almost electric. In a good way, of course. Sage was glad they could have some fun the two of them...he'd slept well and was super glad to be back and messing around with Anya. I'm her room, no less. He was suddenly very glad he'd come in here instead of the room he was staying in.

Anya grinned and kept on going like this for a few more moments before easing up. She leaned forwards and placed a light kiss on his lips before getting off him and flopping down on her side with a chuckle escaping her. She knew things could have gone further, but she kind of cut it off - mainly because she wanted to save it all for that night. Make it a bit more special, she supposed. She had picked up his blush right away, but by now, she had kind of just accepted that as Sage being Sage. She kept on gently tickling him with one hand before pulling away with a slight smile. "I missed you," she noted in a singing voice, "I missed not seeing you in the mornings." She knew how cheesy that sounded... but it was true all the same.

Sage grinned when she kissed him...a goofy, stupid grin that he couldn't help. He wriggled around to face the girl, chuckling at her words. They sounded cheesy, sure, but they were genuine...nice. "I missed you too." Then he grinned. "Though I will say, the company was just bad down there," he giggled, almost teasing the girl, joking that if the other company was good he might have missed her less. It wasn't true, and she knew that, so he could joke around a bit... especially while they were still having their bit of fun before going out and celebrating with everyone else. But Anya was right...he'd missed Anya. More than ever, it seemed like, when he was awake at night. He had things to do, and he was busy, but spending the night with her was just so much better.

Anya groaned a chuckle and rolled her eyes, kind of pushing him away teasingly. "You ass!" She noted, as though she were offended by his little joke. It wasn't... she knew what he thought of the people out there. They weren't all bad, but she knew the people he interacted with weren't exactly... poised. She wondered if there were many people he would get along with, or if he had any friends down there. Surely he couldn't go his whole life down there without finding someone to get along with, other than Lizzie, of course. Anya thought she generally fit in with the whole royal thing... she could be uptight, bossy, and sometimes a little rude, which she thought was all the things Sage hated in a person... maybe she wasn't the same with him. Who knows, she wasn't going to think about it too much. They still had a little while until they should probably go and partake in the celebrations and whatnot, so she was happy to chill out a little. She smiled inwardly and pressed a slightly more drawn-out kiss to his lips, a bit deeper than the previous one. "What'd you say than you run along and get a shower and I'll meet you in a lounge and we can go find everyone - I'm going to assume you didn't manage to get yourself in the shower last night." She noted jokingly. She was going a little bit mother bird now... if Sage was going to be around her family, she wasn't going to give them any reason to dislike him or be rude... so she couldn't have him going out there looking like he has just dragged himself off the streets again.

Sage grinned and cackled when she shoved him, though it was light so he didn't really get moved anywhere, even though he was light. Though, he hadn't expected her to kiss him like that after shoving him....what was he thinking, girls were a mystery, even this particular one. He loved her, he did, and he understood a lot, but sometimes he just didn't understand certain things about her. He'd say it again and again....girls were a mystery. Anya was a good one though, he supposed. He gave her a sheepish grin and shook his head. "Nope, I was busy doing ....stuff." he said stuff because he was doing all sorts of things, not just cleaning or rooms or whatever else. He sat up with a grunt and got up, pressing a kiss to her forehead as he went. "I'll be back," he chuckled before slipping out of the door. There was really no use arguing with her about the shower...he'd learned that early on. And he couldn't get away with faking it much either.. though, he had half the mind to try. He noticed new clothes by his bed... someone had obviously known he was back and what was up. He shrugged and picked them up. Clean clothes would be best for the party, no doubt. He washed quickly, and well enough, though probably not perfectly. He dried off and slid into these new clothes. The tunic still had a pretty low v neck, though this time it had buttons along the front of it. The trousers were the same as before, only a slightly lighter shade of brown. He jogged out of the room and finished buttoning the tunic as he went back to Anyas room and flopped on the bed next to her.

Anya sat up and picked up a book she was reading on her side table while she waited for Sage to come back. Some silly little romance novel about a wizard and a princess - it was a silly notion really, though she was amused by how similar the plot had been to how things between she and Sage were going. This though, with her and Sage, was better than any book could portray. When he came back in, clean and with another set of clothes on, she couldn't help the big grin that grew on her face. She always thought Sage was... well, gorgeous, but it was always amplified when she could see his face rather than his protective layer of dirt. "See? Isn't that better?" She asked with a light giggle.

Sage snickered and flopped down next to the girl. "Only because it makes you happy," he giggled. "Otherwise I'd be washing my face and arms and only pretending to look this good." The this good part was really only because he knew Anya though he looked nice when he was clean...and the grin still on her face only proved that. But either way, he was really only bathing well because Anya wanted him to, and he didn't really feel like arguing about a shower when he knew he'd end up having to do it anyway.

Anya chuckled ever so slightly at that before ruffling his hair up. "Just so you know, I always think you look good - and Sage, I've seen you in some pretty shitty states." She snickered slightly before rolling her eyes. "But you do look... how do I say? Godly when you're clean." The godly bit was an exaggeration, and they both knew it well and good, though it was true all the same. "New outfit?" She hummed lightly before placing the book down on the side table.
