Finn smiled and nodded. "And they'll have the best mother in the world,"

Sera laughed softly, the kind of laugh that trembled with emotion. Her fingers gripped his jacket just a little tighter as her heart swelled in her chest.

“You really think so?” she whispered, blinking quickly as another tear slipped down her cheek — happy, full, overwhelmed.

She leaned in and kissed him gently, her nose brushing his as she pulled back just enough to look into his eyes. “As long as it’s with you… I’m not scared.”

Her voice softened to a near whisper, full of love.
“We’re going to make something beautiful, Finn. A little piece of us.”

And in that moment, with the music humming around them and his arms wrapped tight around her, she had never been more sure of anything in her life.

"I dont think so, I know so," he smiled, kissing her back. Finn kept dancing with her, all the way until the night was over.

Sera leaned into him, letting his words wrap around her like a second warmth. The way he said it — steady, certain — it filled every aching corner of her that had once been afraid she wasn’t enough.

She smiled, eyes fluttering shut for a moment as his lips met hers again. She held onto him like she never wanted to let go.

And she didn’t.

Not now. Not ever.

They danced long after most others had stopped, her cheek resting over his heart, their steps slow and sure beneath the soft shimmer of fairy lights. Time didn’t matter. Nothing else existed outside of this.

By the time the last song faded and the night began to settle, she looked up at him — her husband, her home, her forever — and whispered, “Let’s make that beautiful little piece of us soon.”

Because for the first time in her life, everything felt right.

Finn grinned, squeezing her hand. When the last of the guests left, Finn took her hand, rushing to the car excitedly.

Sera laughed, her heart fluttering as she let him tug her along, hand tightly in his. The sound of her heels clicked against the pavement as she followed him to the car, her dress flowing behind her like something out of a dream.

“You’re going to tear the suit if you keep bouncing like that,” she teased, breathless with laughter.

But gods, she loved seeing him like this — free, happy, glowing with joy in a way she hadn’t seen since before the war.

As they reached the car, she paused for a moment, tugging gently on his hand to stop him.

She stepped in close, the smile on her face soft and glowing. “Finn?” she murmured, her voice tender. “I’ve never seen you this happy before…”

She ran her thumb gently over his knuckles. “And I promise, I’m going to spend the rest of my life making sure you stay this happy.”

She kissed him again — slow, deep, full of everything she couldn’t quite put into words — before nodding to the car with a grin. “Now come on, let’s go start forever.”

Finn grinned and nodded, kissing her back. "I love you, so much, " he whispered. Before grinning and opening her door for her. The two drove home together, holding hands the entire way.

Sera slid into the seat with a glowing smile, her hand never once letting go of his. She looked over at him as he shut the door and rounded the car, her heart so full it almost ached.

She laced their fingers together once he was in, resting their joined hands on the console between them. The way he smiled, the way he looked at her like she was his whole world — it made every quiet fear she'd ever had feel distant, insignificant.

"I love you more than I know how to say," she whispered, turning her head to rest against the window, watching the streetlights flicker past as they drove.

Every now and then she’d glance at him, a soft smile still lingering on her lips. The silence between them wasn’t empty — it was warm and alive, filled with the sound of tires on pavement and hearts that had finally found rest.

When they pulled into the driveway, she turned to him and squeezed his hand gently.

"Ready to go home, husband?" she asked, her voice light, teasing — but full of love.

Finn smiled over at her and nodded. "Of course, wifey," he chuckled, getting up out of the car, going over to her side, opening the door and scooping her up and carrying her inside bridal style.

Sera let out a breathless laugh, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck as he lifted her with ease.

“Finn!” she squeaked through a grin, burying her face in his shoulder for a moment. “You’re going to spoil me,” she teased, though her voice was soft — full of awe, full of joy.

But truthfully, she didn’t want him to stop. Not ever.

She held onto him as he carried her through the door, warm light spilling over them as they stepped into the home they’d built together — the beginning of their forever.

Sera leaned back slightly to look up at him, her eyes glassy with quiet emotion.

“I still feel like I’m dreaming,” she whispered, brushing her fingers through his hair. “But I never want to wake up.”

She kissed his cheek, then his jaw, and then gently rested her head against his chest again, her voice a whisper.

“Let’s never stop being this us, okay?”
