Sage hummed softly and then nodded, taking the baby girl and adjusting her where she won't just open any stitches or anything like that.

Amira stood by Sage, running her hand through his hair. "I love you"
| |

Sage smiled up at her with a nod. "I love you too," he murmured. Then he cocked his head slightly. "Did they say when we can go home?"
| |

Amira shook her head. "Not yet....They wanted to see how your surgery holds up" She explained softly
| |

Sage nodded with a sort of sigh. "I figured," he noted. "I feel fine....of course they probably have me heavily medicated too," he admitted with a sort of chuckle.
| |

Amira's eyes widened in mock disbelief. "Tons" She muttered
| |

Sage hummed and nodded with a sigh. "Well, I have to be better than before. Hopefully it doesn't come out to be too expensive," he murmured.
| |

Amira nodded, her smile falling
| |

Sage shifted slightly, patting the bed next to him so she could sit down or curl up if she wanted.in all honesty he could use her there... emergency surgery was a scary thought, no matter if it was over. But it would have scared her too."you alright," he asked gently.

She nodded, a half-lie. She'd been terrified for him, but was fine- mostly -now that it was over. She curled up beside him, being careful to not bump any wound areas
