| My parents got me a pet for my birthday when I was ten. But it was bc I was so obsessed I did so much research. I got two gerbils and they lived for two years and I was so happy |

| I kinda want another fish tank at some point, but I don't wanna deal with the hassle of cycling/water parameters when it comes to fish. I might just do a planted tank and breed shrimp lol |

| I have 4 fish tanks- its more of a fish room! It takes up several hours of my weekend to upkeep the equipment and water parameters, but its so fun and I love it. Its not for everyone though. Thats why I love my local fish store, the guy was in there last time telling a mom and her kids they should not get fish unless they were willing to take on all the commitments in time and money. |

| Gold fish are a pain. They need strong filters because they shit up the place. No, put back the filter that's rated for your tank size. Get a bigger one. They also get big and need big tanks e.e |

| Fish are so much more maintenance that they seem... I thought it'd be easier than owning a bird. Nooooo much harder for absolutely no reason |

| I lived in a pretty dodgy flat in my younger years. My partner had fish and a fish tank. We came home from being out for the day to see one of the dodgy flatties in the process of SELLING our fish and the tank. |
