Sage glanced in Luthers direction and chuckled, shaking his head. "We can all head back. I had my fun and it is pretty cold out," he admitted. Then he grinned. "Although Luther could probably use the cold to cool down a bit," he cackled, teasing the boy a bit. He did have to admit he was getting cold, and the hard ground couldn't be especially good for the horses, who were huffing and puffing a bit, their breath steaming in the cold air. "We can go warm up and sit around for a bit, that's fine with me," he called over to Anya, turning his horse around and trotting over towards her. Besides, if he was leaving that night, he wanted to spend as much time with Anya as he could, even though it was only for a few days and he'd be back. Maybe Luther would eventually go do something and he and Anya could cuddle up by a fire for a bit before he left...that would be nice. But he didn't want to shove the boy away, so he'd not mention leaving Luther alone....he'd enjoy their time even if the boy was there.

Luther gave Sage a playful glare, a light grunt rising from his throat. "Yeah, I might have to pull out the frozen peas later. Wouldn't want my head swelling any bigger, now would we?" He joked, rolling his eyes slightly. He'd be fine, and he knew that. Though, he would be sore in the morning, and he would for sure be complaining. Anya wrinkled her nose slightly at him, her head shaking a bit. "Yeah, your heads big enough... I'm not too sure where they put your brains though though." She teased lightly, which only earned her a shrug from Luther. Anya glanced back towards Sage after a little while, a gentle smile on her face. "You know, I don't think that thing ever got a stable name... why don't you think of something and we can put it on his papers?" Anya knew Sage liked the horse - if he didn't, then he wouldn't have picked it out. So, she assumed he'd like something like that.

Sage thought for a second and then shrugged. "Fine with me," he muttered. "I'll think about it while I wander around in the tavern." He had to admit, while he didn't want to leave Anya and Luther, he was pretty excited to get back out there. He seemed to both dread going back out there and yet couldn't wait to get back out there either. It was an odd combination, though he was mostly ready to get back out there where he could just be himself and run around like exactly what it was. He did want to spend some time alone with Anya before he left, though.

Anya gave a slight smile. She did kind of want to see what he would come up with. Besides, they couldn't go on calling the poor thing 'the stallion', or 'it'. And whatever registered name he had would be far to long to go off. They wandered back to the stables leisurely, where they jumped off and had the horses seen to... rugged up, fed, and safely nestled away in their stables. Well, both her boy and Luthers were, at least. The horse Sage was on was rugged up and taken to whatever paddock he stayed in for the time being. They all wandered up to one of the many lounges... a slightly smaller one, away from all of the busier room, and Luther had asked one of the maids to bring some warm drinks up to them... Luther was probably be there for a little while, at least long enough for a drink to be brought to him and then he'd scoot. And that was more than fine with Anya... she did want to get a bit of time with Sage before he went off again. He'd be back, she knew that, but she just kind of want to be with him, to hold him and let him know how much she cared - well, he already did, but from what she'd heard it got really rough out in the slums... and she'd seen the state it'd gotten Sage into. It was just a few days, though, and he'd be alright.

Sage tended to the horse himself...to which the people at the barns seemed to be more than fine with. He wasn't really sure why, but none of them really wanted to go near the stallion, who seemed to tense up as soon as they got back to the barn. He relaxed once he'd galloped off to the spot where sage had found him....under the trees in the back of the paddock. He then went back and followed the other two kids back up to the little mini lounge and sat down in one of the couch-like chairs by the fire, leaving the larger one for Luther and other things for Anya, wherever she wanted to sit. A small, petite woman came into the lounge a few minutes later, with some kind of warm drink for the three of them. Sage wasn't really sure what it was, but it tastes good so he drank it happily.

Just as she expected, as soon as Luther hot his hands around a mug, he excused himself, but not before sticking another few logs on the fire. Anya didn't mind that he was going... he was being kind of, well, whiny about his little falls. The only thing that really hurt was his ego, as far she she could tell. "Poor boy," she giggled from her spot on the fug in front of the fire. Her cold and slightly stiff hands had started warming up now, so she found herself kind of fiddling with her hands as she sat there. The girls eyes dropped to the ground as she sipped away on her hot chocolate, welcoming the warmth with open arms. "Hey, thanks for taking us on a little ride - we probably would have been stuck inside all day other wise." She noted with amusement. Really? Small talk? Come on, she was with Sage, if they wanted to sit there quietly, then they could do that. In truth, she still wasn't overly sure how to act around him when they were alone... weather she was meant to laugh or joke or if she was meant to get all sappy with him... it was strange. Going from the whole acting like friends thing and then not having to act - it was all so odd to her.

Sage chuckled. "You're welcome, I suppose. You needed something to take your mind off of... well, everything." The rebell, him leaving...all of that had been worrying the girl, and of course he didn't want that, he wanted her to be happy. Going out and having fun was the way he knew how to do that...to make light of a bad situation. Or, at least, try to. He'd trained himself not to ignore important things a long time ago...in the streets ignoring something could mean that was it. Which wasn't exactly a bad thing, but he definitely was not going to be killed so easily. He'd put up a fight, even if it was almost a fake one. He could tell she was a bit uncomfortable... probably because he was leaving and she was getting used to it being just the two of them. It was hard, to act like friends when they were...more than that. It was confusing, but he also knew they relished the time they had together. But they'd have to make sure they locked the door if they did get all sappy before he left.

Anya gave a slight nod. She did try not to let the whole thing about the rebellion and him leaving come through, she knew he didn't want her to worry... but really, there was nothing you could do to stop her. She'd always worry about him, even if it was about the little things. She hummed slightly as she stood up and wandered over to the door, fiddling with the latch to lock it... obviously, nothing was happening right then, but it always did. And she just wanted to talk about whatever with him without interruptions anyway. She waddled back over and dropped back onto the floor in front of the fire, still reluctant to leave it's heat. "Well, it for sure took my mind off things. Poor Luther bashing his head for sure was a highlight." She noted softly, a small smile lingering on her face.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "Glad it wasn't me, otherwise I'd have to admit that tacking the horses up has its benefits," he chuckled. He noticed her lock the door, and wondered what she wanted to do....or what she was going to do...or if she was just being cautious. It didn't really matter to him, he knew that, but he was glad she did lock it, just in case things got... intimate.

Anya nodded softly, "Hmm, and you'd hate that, wouldn't you? Admitting we were right." She was only joking a little. Sage knew he was right most of the time anyway... so no matter what kind of rubbish she'd spout out it wouldn't really matter. Anya was more than happy just sitting there and talking to him. Given, it was a little bit awkward, but they always were while they got their feet again. They'd just be quiet for a while and one of them said something and it was all fine again. Not that anything was wrong, but it would be fair to say Anya struggled with that swap from being around other people. She had only locked the door as a... precaution, really. She didn't need to be cuddled up with him or whatever, so it was mainly just to stop people coming in, even if they were just chatting. Though, it would be nice if they did get cuddled up, to just kind of... well, be with him.
