Sage chuckled and nodded. "He's a good horse. I would think you'd get a pretty good price for him." He patted the horse's neck softly and he snorted, tossing his head as if saying 'i know I'm good, tiny human creature'. Sage grinned at the stallions antics....he definitely had a personality. It was a nice trail though, and it was a pretty nice day out. He was moving, so he wasn't necessarily cold, even though he was just in his same tunic as always. He was enjoying riding ..he always liked the horses more than the people. Of course, Anya and Luther were great company also. They were silent for a while until a fox crept along the side of the trail through the trees. Sage eyes the little creature for a moment, as did the horse he was on. They pretty much were making the same face at it, though they really didn't look alike in the fact of, well, facial structure.

Anya nodded slightly. "I'd think so! Though, I'm not too sure why he still have him in all honesty. I've never actually seen anyone ride him... or, well, him at all." She giggled slightly, looking down at the gelding she was on. His mane was slightly darker than the rest of him, though was starting to grey out with age. She looked back at Luther, who was happily plodding along, though his mare was blowing gales. They were all a little fidgety, actually. Even Rolo. The girl hummed slightly and looked about kind of taking in the scenery... it was all so different in the winter. Pretty, though.

Sage shrugged...he didn't know anything more about the horse than Anya did. Though, he'd enjoyed being with him, so he couldn't complain. If no one used him, why was he still here? Anya had said she'd never even seen him...and she was probably down with her own horse pretty often. They were quiet after that, for a bit, until they reached a stretch of field that didn't have a super heavy snow covering. Sage glanced over at the kids beside him and gave his usual crooked grin. "What do you say to letting them have a gallop?" He looked at them, waiting for an answer, not realizing that the stallion he was on was also looking at them, with the same look of expectation written on his face as Sage did. All of the horses would enjoy a run....and so would Sage, Anya, and Luther, he thought.

Luther perked up a little at Sages question, pushing his horse on a bit to catch up with the other two. "I'd say yes!" He chirped brightly, and his horse seemed just as eager. "The mare says yes too," he cackled jokingly. That only earned him a funny look from Anya, but she kind of just rolled her eyes at him. "Why not," she chuckled slightly, watching as the horse mirrored Sages curiosity. They seemed to have clicked, which she assumed would be nice for Sage. (kinda short, I'm insanely busy!)

(lol no worries!) Sage chuckled and patted the stallion's neck. "Ya hear that, bud? Why don't you show them all up, huh," he giggled. The horse tossed his head and snorted as if agreeing which earned another tiny chuckle from Sage. He looked back at Anya and Luther and grinned widely, light of a daring and somewhat mischievous sort dancing in his eyes. "Race ya," He cackled as he nudged the stallion forward, letting him gallop off as fast as he wanted to go. Which, to be completely honest, was pretty fast. It was fun though, Sage had to admit that.

Luther giggled and let the mare spring forward into a powerful but slightly slower gallop, still leaving room to speed up as she so pleased. It was one of the traits that he rather liked in the horse... she wasn't fast per se, but she could go on for hours, and in his eyes, that made her much more appealing than any other horse he knew. Anya had to push her own gelding on a little, but once he was going, well, he was off. He was as safe as houses, but he was still a thoroughbred... which means he still had the capability to pick it up a little, though they were still a good few meters behind Sage, with Luther cruising behind them.

Sage wasn't really watching where Anya and Luther were....as long as he was winning he didn't care what else was going on. Unless someone was hurt, of course. But that wasn't happening...they were all having fun. The horse underneath him had plenty of energy to spare, and it seemed like the more he ran the more he wanted to stretch his legs out and run faster and faster. Sage let him do what he wanted...it was a bit of a reward, having been good earlier, the horse could now let all of his energy out as he so pleased. Sage had a wide grin on his face as he crouched forward, into the horses mane as it whipped about. He only sat up straight again to slow the horse down to a steady canter as they reached the end of the field.

As they slowed down again, Anya gently rolled her shoulders back to signal that to the horse. He slowed down as instructed, but Luther... was having a bit more of an issue. The mare had grabbed the bit at some point and started tanking off with him. So he ended up going straight past Luther and Anya, who were watching intently for a short while. He let out a yelp when he realised he had no breaks, to which his horses ears pricked forward and stopped dead, which sent Luther flying over her head. He landed with a heavy thump, cursing horse before dusting himself off. Anya watched for a little while, covering her mouth as she tried to withhold a laugh. It didn't work too well, as she burst out with giggles. "I'm sorry... are you alright?" She asked, giggles still escaping her. Luther just glared at her in return, going to find an old stump to climb back onto.

Sage couldn't help but let out a tiny snicker when Luther went right over the mare's head. But the guy had gotten up quickly enough...he wasn't hurt, other than possibly a bruised ego. Sage nudged his own horse forward to reach over and grab the mare's reigns, just in case she decided to go for another run. He brought her back over to Luther, who was scrambling onto a fallen tree to get back on, still grinning stupidly. The mare was acting like nothing was wrong, like she was totally innocent, which only made the situation even funnier. "You alright," he chuckled once he got over to Luther and tossed him the reins. He figured the guy was fine, but it was just polite to ask, especially since he liked the guy. "Didn't break your butt, did ya?" It was a bit of a joke, to make Luther laugh about the little mishap a bit.

Luther just huffed and grabbed the reins back from Sage and chucked them back over the mares neck. "Bloody horse," was all he said in reply, though he did give a little chuckle at his joke. "All good. Well, I should be, as long as no one at the castle finds out." He glared over at Anya, knowing full well she'd make fun of him to her maids or something. The girl just furrowed her brows and stuck her tongue out at him before turning back down the path... she would have suggested galloping back if it wasn't so cold and the ground wasn't so hard. She also decided it'd be best not to, considering that Luther might not have any breaks going back towards the castle. Well, she was going to go back anyway... get something warm to drink and go curl up by a hot fire. She had to admit, in the winter she wasn't exactly the most fun person. She hated the cold, really hated it, so she never really wanted to do much. "I'm going to head back. Get a hot chocolate or something. You guys can stay out if you want, and I can get something made up for when you come back if you'd like." She shrugged slightly.
