He reached one hand over and took hers with a smile, his walls coming down as he touched her. He intertwined their fingers as he drove, keeping them together. "Thanks?" He muttered, pulling into the parking lot. "You gotta have some more trust in me" He chuckled, getting out and opening her door for her. He placed his hand on the small of her back as they walked in and were seated. He handed a menu to her and just decided to get the same as her, curious as to what she'd order and why. He heard her mind decide and chuckled at the certainty she had. He gazed at her with admiration written all over his face. His walls were back up since they were in a public place, but he still felt his love for her.

Morgan's smile softened as she looked at him, though she noticed he didn't seem as pleased by her compliment as she'd expected. But she meant every word. It wasn't like she'd say something she didn't believe. She huffed out a playful breath as they parked. "That car means a lot to me!" she teased, rolling her eyes at his response as she unbuckled her seatbelt. "If anything happened to it, it’d be like losing a child!" She chuckled, her voice light and full of playful exaggeration. Once the car came to a stop, she let go of his hand and hopped out with ease. As she walked into the cafe, she made her way to the seat he'd picked out for them, already feeling the anticipation of a sweet treat. Oreo ice cream on sugar waffles. It was by no means healthy, but it was one of those indulgent meals that felt like a celebration. And she was definitely celebrating—she had a boyfriend now. A perfect boyfriend. The thought made her heart flutter in a way that was hard to put into words. As the waitress arrived at their table, Morgan quickly gave her order with confidence, her smile still wide. It felt like the kind of moment she'd dreamt about, but never quite expected to come true. .

Caleb watched her and didn't look up when the waitress came. He told her he'd get the same as he listened to Morgan's mind. He liked what he heard, as it was mostly about him. "How often you come here?" He murmured

Morgan's smile widened as she leaned back in her chair, a light laugh escaping her lips. "Not much recently," she began, glancing at him with a playful glint in her eyes. "But when I first moved here? Almost every day," she chuckled softly at the memory. It was hard to believe she'd once been here so often, but it was a nice thought, one of comfort and familiarity. "I guess I just come for a treat now," she added with a shrug, as if to justify the indulgence. There was something about the place, though—the atmosphere, the cozy vibe—that made it feel like a special little corner of her world. And now, sharing it with him, it felt even more meaningful. Her eyes softened, and she flashed him a grin. "I think this is way better than the usual solo visits anyway," she admitted, the warmth in her gaze clear.

Caleb chuckled at her explanation. He watched as her mind went through the memories. He chuckled again as she remembered the food every time she came. When she mentioned this being better than alone, he flashed her a grin. "I'm glad." He responded as the food came. He ate rather quickly, finishing as soon as he could while still enjoying the food. He paid for the breakfast and stood, waiting for Morgan to follow

Morgan's smile softened as she watched him take care of the bill before she could even offer. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it made her feel warm inside. She leaned in and pressed a light kiss to his cheek as they stood up, feeling content in his presence. The simple gesture of his kindness made her heart flutter a bit. She wrapped her fingers around his happily, a little bounce in her step as she playfully bumped into his side. "So, where to next?" she asked with a grin, eager for whatever adventure the day might bring. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked up at him, already looking forward to whatever they might do next together.

Caleb opened the door for her when they reached the car. He smiled softly at her while she spoke, not starting the car yet. "Up to you. I don't go many places since I never had a reason to."

Morgan tilted her head, raising a brow at him as she sat there, the quiet moment stretching between them. She wasn’t used to just sitting still, but she appreciated everything he had done for her—driving her around, paying for things. He didn't have to, but he had. It made her smile just thinking about it. With a soft hum, she leaned over the car, pecking his lips lightly. “Why don’t we go back to yours for a bit?” she suggested, her voice light and playful. “I don’t mind what we do,” she added, flashing him a grin that was both inviting and mischievous. There was something about the moment that felt just right, and she liked the thought of spending more time with him.

Caleb smiled as she kissed him, his walls instantly crumbling. He took her hand and started the car before driving to his house. Once they got there, he eagerly got out and opened her door for her. He interlaced their hands and walked with her inside

Morgan let out a small chuckle as she slid out of the car, finally feeling the tension leave her shoulders. The playful teasing about her car had almost become a routine at this point, though she couldn't help but hover over him just a little. Her car might be old, but it was her baby, and it had to be handled with care. Still, as they arrived at their destination, she relaxed a bit. She met his smile with one of her own, her hand finding his as she stepped out of the car. "I'm surprised we made it alive," she said, her tone light but full of laughter. She leaned in a little closer, brushing past him. "But you survived the 'Morgan driving school,' so I guess you're not that bad," she teased playfully.
