Eris raised her eyebrows at him, one side of her lips quirking up. "I don't typically do humble." She shrugged, finally reaching the end of her hair and tying the braid off. She slid it back over her shoulder, then took her reins back up and glanced down at her leg with a frown. She dipped her head in a half nod to his comment, unable to agree. Sarcasm and not being able to lie? They didn't mix well.

Kin settled down slightly, sitting on a horse was so complicated to do properly. Which was how he was taught to, and he didn't quite want to do it otherwise, what if it hurt the horse? He didn't know. He was overthinking He eyed her a moment more from the corner of his eye. Feeling like he'd never get over the speed she recovers at. He heals fast, but she heals faster. He still had the cut on his forehead, it had already turned into just a light line but it was there.

Eris gave a small sigh, looking up and ahead. "How far till the next town, again?" She asked, her eyes roving boredly over the trampled track they were following. She moved to readjust in her saddle, biting her lip yet again at the shooting pain that went from her thigh through to her hip. She cleared her throat and gave her gelding a light pat.

Kin glanced about in a semi-circle. Ahead, Eris, trees, sky. "Late tonight or early tomorrow depending on how badly you'd rather sleep in a bed than on the ground." He turned back to her and smiled sarcastically. He didn't linger on her. Straightening ip again when his shoulders started leaning forward. When his head leaned down, the slight rings under his eyes were doubly apparent, and whenever things got settled and quiet, he struggled to stay awake.

Eris turned to looked at him, taking in a breath. "A bed would be nice." She muttered- she couldn't remember the last time she slept in a bed. It had been a solidly long while. She glanced over at him and took in the tired appearance, raising her brows slightly. "Tired?" She mocked.

"I agree." The elf huffed. The sun was warmer than he'd been guessing, so he brought the capelet over his head, putting it on his lap and just letting his hands rest on it for a moment before he eyed the girl. "What makes you ask that?" He questioned, feigning defensiveness.

Eris rolled her shoulders back and blew out a slightly bored breath. "Oh, you know. Just your... everything, really." She said lightly, looking up at the canopy and skies above her. If she weren't a prisoner, she could be accustomed to this place. It was beautiful. Even in a famine, it retained its elegance. Gorgeous, really.

The elf self-consciously tipped his head to see if it was obvious, which to him it wasn’t, but then again he realized he had been slouching. He continued being vaguely slumped. “Didn’t think it was that noticeable.” He muttered, hooking the reins on the horn and gently folding the capelet and rolling it in the hood like a pillow, leaving it where it was. It was just folded now.
