She stood straight again hearing West's voice and says, "It wasn't bad. What about yours?" Her back legs went back to normal as she stood straight and she used all of her might to keep her tail down. Usually when she went into heat she hid in a cave so that no lone stallions could breed with her. This time though it seemed that she might not have a choice. -But he did say that I was the mare he wanted- she thought -so I guess it wouldn't be so bad.-

"I slept like the rock I am." West snorted, joking. "... is there anything I can help with?" He asked tentatively

She stiffened some at his question, "What do you mean by that?" -Has he figured it out- she thinks -did I not hide it well enough?-

"Oh, it's nothing." West said uncomfortable, walking over to the water to drink

"Oh ok," she says and stands there awkwardly for a moment. She then walks away and goes to graze a little bit away. Wither was unaware that she was now up wind and her scent was being blown towards West.

West sniffed the air. It smelled... weird. Then he caught on. All the puzzle pieces came together. It clicked. Hi so eyes widened, then he felt terrible. She had been trying to ... hide it from him. He grunted and took another drink, walking so he was upwind. He didn't want her to know that he knew.

Wither grazed quietly and tried to hide the fact that she was nervous. Her eyes followed West as he walked past her. Perhaps he didn't know yet and she was still hiding it. She sighed some and felt her tail lift slightly and made it flick to look like she was swiping a fly away. Her tail then fell and she kept it down while she grazed. The pain started to return but she didn't want to rub against the tree again with West awake. -Stay strong- she thought and snorted some.

West glanced over, seeing Wither was in a little pain. He felt terrible about this but her comfort was his top priority. he took a deep breath and walked over to her. "Wither... you can do whatever you want to make yourself comfortable. I know your in heat and I promise to help in any way I can..." he murmured lowly, seeming embarrassed

She lifted her head as West spoke and looked away embarrassed. "I'm sorry," she says embarrassed, "I tried to hide it since I haven't actually done it with a stallion before. Whenever I've gone into heat I just hid in a cave and waited for it to pass... But I guess I can't hide from nature all of my life." She giggled some but it was a very short giggle. Her ears moved back as she thought about whether she should allow West to do it or not.

West dipped his head and quickly trotted away, climbing the steep mountaintop till he got to the giant flat plain. He looked out at the prairie, feeling embarrassed. He didn't want to tell her... but he didn't want her to be uncomfortable either.
