The girl stared at him for a moment with the biggest grin before looking down, "You could say there's been wars over me." She noted with a snicker, her cheeks flushing a light pink. "I'm sure you've had your issues here though, no? I'll admit you're one of very few mildly attractive guys I've seen down here." The girl huffed in an almost sarcastic manor. She wasn't lying - most of the people in the slump of a town she had seen were one of two things; hung over or vile beings. Sage was neither of those things. He was one of few people she had a laugh with in a while, which was saying quite a bit considering she was normally surrounded by people.

Sage snorted and nodded. "You do realize that some of my night jobs at the tavern is sleeping with whoever, right?" He shrugged. "That's pretty much my experience with girls. You're the only one I actually can talk to like a normal human being, which is ironic since it's always been drilled into my head to not speak unless spoken to, to not make eye contact, don't show emotions, all of the restrictions because of the rank differences."

The girl gave a short nod before looking back down. She wasn't really sure what to say. If course, she had sort of known anyway. When she had gotten to the tavern she had over heared him shooing some girls off. Though, she didn't know it was apart of his job at the tavern. "I kind of guessed so." She shrugged as she rolled onto her back again. "Was it your father who taught you about ranks?" She asked with a tilted head. She wasn't sure if a drunk even bad the ability to teach anything about ranks. She supposed it would be beateninto you if you disrespected the right people enough though.

He shook his head. "Nah, my mom did. She was a stickler for rules." He thought for a second and then chuckled. "My dad isn't the brightest, even when he's not drunk, which isn't often any more. Besides, he never leaves the house so I doubt he would know how to interact with another human being, regardless of their rank." He made a face. "I'll be respectful, but honestly, i don't care what rank you are, if you're being a dick i'm going to forget manners." He grinned sheepishly. "I've gotten in trouble plenty of times for that," he chuckled.

The girl gazed up, again watching the sky as it slowly started to change. "Yeah, well I'm pretty sure that'd get you in trouble with anyone." She noted with a soft smile. "So... I dunno, maybe don't say that." Anya chuckled. She bit the inside of her lip as she thought for a moment before glancing towards him, "Just so you know, in a week or so there's going to be a lot of higher ups in town. The chances are that you're going to run into them. If i where you I'd keep to myself." The girl shrugged lightly.

Sage shrugged. "I do, as much as possible." He made a face. "They tend to be snobs, and you're not, which is nice, but honestly I don't really like people. You're lucky I like you," he chuckled. "But no promises. I'm stubborn and stupid and hot headed. Not a great combination when I'm supposed to be meek." He shrugged. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about it."

"Ah well then I feel awfully privaged." Anya chuckled softly. "But I do agree that the most of us are snobby and spoilt." She huffed, "I'm like that when I'm around them I suppose." The girl shrugged. It must have been some sort of herd nautre. She knew - because she had been told - that she could go from being perfectly friendly to some spoilt little princess. It wasn't like she was concious of the change, but it most definately happened. "You're for sure stupid." She agreed teasingly. "And maybe hot headed. I'm yet to see the stubbornness yet though." She shruggred with a grin.

He chuckled and shrugged. "That's because I have nothing to be stubborn about with you. Yet." He grinned and looked up at the stars. "I'm sure you'll see it eventually. Or see the aftermath of it, one or the other," he chuckled. He grinned over at Anya again. "Don't worry, if you start acting like it I'll let you know. I don't want to attack my only friend," he teased lightly

"Cant wait." The girl joked as she shook her head. She looked back up, watching as the stars slowly started fading way. She had read somewhere that they were actually massive - but from where she was laying, they seemed so small. "Oh please, you wouldn't attck me if you wanted to. You need me." She chuckled softly, "but we should be find if I don't run into any of my 'friends,' if you can call them that." The girl murmured, rolling her eyes slightly. Sage chuckled softly and looked up at the sky, with a smile. "Well, we'll manage. One way or the other." He snorted in amusement. "What, don't tell miss popular doesn't like her followers," he joked lightly with a raised eyebrow.
