He continued to clean the rabbit before putting it over the fire to cook. He flopped down on his back, tired but not completely willing to leave the fire unattended.

He continued to lay around, watching the food cook. He rolled onto his side and poked at the fire with a stick, doing something so he wouldn't fall asleep. He was still wary that someone else would come by, although the chances were very low. But he had just been attacked, and he was tired and hurt, so this would be the prime time for someone to attack.

She continues to look around looking towards the forest she saw two figures running she sat there watching for a moment but when they stopped they looked as if they were looking right at her she put her shoes back on and stood up she had left her staff in the cave.

Sage felt something odd and stood up. He walked outside of the cave and looked around. He saw people, and scowled. He leaned against the cave wall, in the shadows where he wouldn't be seen. He wanted to see if they were just kids screwing around or not before he attacked them.

Sage had figured one of the men would try to get inside the cave, but when he lost track of him he cursed under his breath. He stood still, trusting the shadows until he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He ducked and whirled to the side as a huge longsword but into the cave wall where he had been standing. He had his dagger out in a split second and attacked the man with a snarl. The sudden attack took the man by surprise, as it usually did since sage was so thin and they never expected a head on attack. A head on attack may not be the smartest option, given all of Sage's disadvantages, but he was mad, and he wasn't one to use trickery to fight. The man and sage exchanged blows, and because sage had a much smaller weapon he was getting the brunt of it. He grit his teeth and tried to press forward, into the area past the man's reach so he could land a hit, but it was harder than expected.

The other man snuck closer to the entrance of the cave. Ellie did her best to stay quiet and still careful not to make a sound. her back pressed against the cave wall hidden by the entrance the man started to enter calling out to Ellie like she was a dog. Ellie grips her staff and swings it but the man caught it and ripped it from her hands and pulled her close to his body. she whines softly panicking.

Sage noticed the commotion by the front of the cave and cursed louder. He kicked the man he was fighting away from him and jumped at the man holding Ellie. The man ran after him, and he was now fighting two grown men at once. His speed and agility were the only things that gave him the advantage. He had dozens of small cuts by now, and only two cuts that may need stitches, so he figured he would do alright. All he had to do was last long enough for one of them to make an opening so he could deal with him and then fight one on one, which would be easier.
