Sage didn't hear her since he was asleep, but subconsciously he relaxed. Having her there did help a bit.

Amira heard Liz crying and softly groaned, getting up after kissing Sage's head once more. She went and grabbed Liz before walking into the kitchen and dancing around with her daughter

Sage slept for a while longer, waking up with groan maybe fourty minutes later. He didn't get out of bed though ..he just didn't have the energy. He was shivering too, even under the blankets, so his fever was probably getting higher.

Liz grew tired after nursing a while later and Amira put her down for a nap. The days were blurred together now as Amira walked to Sage and embraced him. She was scared for him, his forehead hotter than before. "I'm sorry you're sick, my love"

Sage had stirred slightly as she came up to him, offering her a tired smile. He only half understood her, since his head was pounding and her voice sort of blurred together, but he got the gist of it.

Amira felt a tear roll down her face. She was sorry for so much more-his hurt, that she couldn't fix it, his hurt again, that she had to keep leaving and taking care of Liz.

Sage just shifted slightly to rest his head against her leg, settling down best he could. He knew she was upset but didn't have any energy left to comfort her.

Sage just offered her a smile and moved to squeeze her hand gently. He knew if he talked he'd start coughing so he stayed quiet, but hoped he could still let her know it was ok.
