Finn shook his head unknowingly. "I dunno... maybe you should get it checked by a doctor" he suggested.

Sera nodded slowly, still curled on the bathroom floor beside him. Her hand gently moved away from her stomach as she leaned into his side. “Yeah… yeah, maybe I should,” she murmured. Her voice was soft, almost distant, still a little shaky. The idea of seeing a doctor made something twist in her chest—not quite fear, but uncertainty. She hated not knowing what was happening to her own body.

Finn nodded. He noticed her unease and rubbed her back. "Hey, it'll be okay, we'll figure it out,"

Sera leaned into his touch, the warmth of his hand on her back grounding her. Her eyes closed for a moment, and she breathed in slowly through her nose. The nausea was fading, but that deep, unsettled feeling in her chest remained. “I know,” she whispered. She opened her eyes again and looked at him—really looked at him. His concern, his steadiness, the way he always held it together when she started to fall apart… it made her heart ache with love. “I just hate not knowing,” she admitted, voice quiet. “And feeling like I can’t control what my body’s doing. It’s scary.” She leaned her head against his shoulder. “But I’m glad I’ve got you. If I have to go through something weird, at least I’m not doing it alone.”

Finn smiled softly. "Of course, sunshine," he said softly, kissing her forehead. "Why don't we call your doctor and see if she can see you today, okay?"

Sera gave a small nod, her fingers curling slightly into the fabric of his shirt as he kissed her forehead. The warmth of it settled something in her chest, just enough to push through the lingering nausea and fear. “Yeah… yeah, that sounds like a good idea,” she murmured. “I don’t want to just sit around and wonder anymore.” She glanced up at him, her eyes soft but tired. “Thanks for taking care of me… even when I’m being a total mess.” A small smile tugged at her lips, and she pressed a gentle kiss to his jaw. “I’ll call now, just… stay close, okay?”

Finn smiled softly, "Of course, sunshine," he repeated softly.

Sera exhaled slowly, the sound more like a sigh of relief than anything else. She leaned into him for a moment, resting her head against his shoulder and letting her eyes flutter shut. Just a second of peace. Then she pulled away gently, giving him a small, grateful smile. “Alright,” she murmured, reaching for her phone. Her fingers trembled just a little as she tapped in the doctor’s number. Even as the phone rang, she kept her other hand tucked into his, grounding herself. No matter what the doctor said—no matter what was coming—she had him. That made all the difference.

Finn stayed next to her, holding her hand, rubbing her back gently.

Sera leaned into the warmth of his hand, her grip on his tightening just slightly as she held the phone to her ear with the other. His gentle touch on her back was like an anchor, steadying her breathing even as her nerves swirled beneath the surface. She glanced sideways at him, her expression soft despite the worry in her eyes. “Thank you,” she whispered, not needing to explain what for—just needing him to know how much it meant that he was there. The ringing finally clicked into a voice on the other end, and Sera straightened a little, swallowing before speaking. “Hi… yeah, I was hoping to make a same-day appointment,” she said quietly. “Something’s… not quite right.” Her thumb rubbed gently along Finn’s knuckles, grounding herself in his presence while she spoke.
