"Kai thats not- ugh, nevermind," she muttered, storming out, plastering on a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes as she rejoined the girls. She wasn't really upset with him, but how could he expect for that to work? Did he really think he could just say 'Yeah, I want a baby,' and then leave it to Lorelei to figure out the rest? Leaving Lorelei to think about whether or not they should have one without speaking to her and figuring out if they were ready and had the ability to keep her safe.

Kai sighed, running a hand down his face from irritation. He wasn't mad at her, just how he couldn't form words to say he wanted one but new they weren't ready. Just don't react to mentioning of babies, stupid. His mind said, Kai walking in a fake calm to put their stuff in the car

Lorelei ate with the girls and then played with them until they had to leave.

Kai said goodbye and plastered on a smile as he spoke to Lorelei. "Ready, baby?" He asked

"Yep, lets go," she nodded. The girls came up, running up to her and hugging her. Lorelei smiled, hugging the two little girls and saying goodbye. Eventually, the two of them got into the car and waved goodbye as they pulled out of the driveway.

Kai was silent for a while, trying to avoid another arguement as he drove onto the freeway

Lorelei put on her headphones, clicking on her music and staring outside the window, avoiding communication.

Kai siged and let her do her thing as he stayed silent and stewed in his thoughts
