Amira didn't argue, dog-tired, and fell asleep

Sage smiled when she fell asleep and curled in with her, doing his best to get some rest himself.

Amira woke in the middle of the night, got up, and walked to the living room. She grabbed her phone, knowing she couldn't fall back asleep, and started scrolling

Sage had drifted off eventually, though it was a light sleep, often broken by getting hot or cold or coughing. Really he was just continually uncomfortable.

Amira walked back to Sage after a couple hoursand sat beside him, cradling his head

Sage shifted slightly when she moved back in but didn't wake. He settled down in her lap after a few minutes.
