"Right." Trixie nodded, rubbing at her eyes and then grabbing his hand. "We'll be fine." She muttered, glancing up at him as he spoke again. She tilted her head and perked up, nodding. "I do. A lot- you do too?" She asked, her curiousity sudden and now intense.

Matt's tense feeling withered away very quickly as she grabbed his hand, and he let it settle. "A little, yeah. Especially when I first saw you, it was..strange. I dunno, its probably just the atmosphere and stuff, anything's possible here at this point" he shrugged, not making any attempt to let go from her hand as he spoke. "Its surprising that you do too. I guess." he added, nerves and guilt filling him again.

Trixie nodded faintly at him, giving his hand a gentle squeeze and running her thumb across the back of it. "Right. Maybe it's just the situation." She shrugged, keeping a gentle hold on his hand. "Well, hey, maybe we actually did know each other. Something carrying over from life. That would be cool, right?" She added, tilting her head at the conflicted expression on his face.

Matt nodded in agreement, staring down at her rubbing her thumb over his hand. He looked her in the eye, the corners of his mouth curling into a faint smile. "It would be. Even if we just, I dunno, worked together or something. Friends even" he said, pondering the thoughts. The guilt grew with every world, and eventually he felt sick. He took his hand away from hers gently, shifting aside. "Its probably nothing. We should carry on with the tasks, when they load" he said, taking a deep breath.

Trixie returned the faint smile to him, nodding. "Yeah. It would be better than nothing, for sure." She said, frowning as he pulled his hand away and shifted in the same direction. She let her hand fall in her lap and cleared her throat, staring at anything that wasnt him. "Yeah. Yeah, obviously." She nodded faintly.

Matt opened his mouth to pretty much blurt out the off, horribly guilty feeling that had now overpowered him, but shut himself up before a noise came out. It would come across stupid, and turn into an even more serious conversation, and clearly neither of them wanted that. He turned around to face the bathroom as the two came out, watching the woman start packing in a rush. "We seem to ahve driven them away already" he mumbled, looking at the rather nasty looking gash on her head. "Lord" he added under his breath. It was only a matter of minutes before they were packed up and leaving, and oddly Matt felt like he nearly..had to follow? Or at least see where they were going.

"That was fast." Trixie muttered, watching the pair wander around. She glanced over at his exclamation. "Hey, she's fine. It's not as bad as it looks." She soothed, standing and watching them start toward the door. "Well, let's go, I guess." She shrugged.

"Yeah. Yeah, she's fine." Matt mumbled, flashing a very half hearted smile at Trixie before heading to follow the pair. The woman was rushing rather fast, only stopping to pick up the little boy as they reached the stairs. Soon enough they were down at reception, not bothering to sign out despite the fact it had just hit 8am and the receptionists were very clearly there. "follow them? or explore the town?" he asked, looking at the still-spinning loading sign above Trixie's head.

Trixie followed the pair dutifully, exchanging conversation with Matt on the way down. Once she reached his question, she paused and tilted her head. "We should probably follow them; but I'd rather explore the town, honestly." She shrugged, offering him a smile.

"Mm, same. We can find them again later" he smiled, turning to head out the door. As they reached the very centre of the town Matt raised his eyebrows, staring around at the drab surroundings. Everything seemed exactly the same as before, even the paths of the people, the talking..everything. "This place is far from exciting. They all seem to be in fear of something though" he frowned, referring to the look on most of their faces. "Anyway. Wanna pick where we go?" he asked, tilting his head in question.
