Quinn winced slightly, nodding. "Yeah.. I know the feeling. At least partway- not the exact feeling of having your body try and morph into something it's not, but something much less painful than that." She elaborated, her mind flicking back to when she first figured out she was pregnant, when the hunter found them, and she got shot in the shoulder. Occasionally, it still hurt, even all these months later. It probably never healed right. She looked a little grateful as Sage took the squirming baby. "I don't know how she got so much energy, while Caspian over here won't move if I shook him." She joked with a small roll of her eyes, content to hold the still baby. +++ Jack chuckled quietly as he watched the babies, then glanced at Sage as the guy spoke. "You might wish you were hallucinating, but you weren't. I'm really glad I got there when I did, or it mightve been game over." He said quietly, then paused. "But yes. I killed the bear. It's probably still laying outside of the cave." He answered, wondering if the meat was still salvageable, then remembering it had been two days and crossing that idea out of his mind.

Sage sort of hummed inr esponse her comment, a smile flickering across his face. "You popped out two entire human beings, I don't know how much less painful that seemed," he noted. Then he gave her a somewhat sheepish grin with a laugh when she mentioned how she didn't know how Frynn got so much energy. "That would be my fault," he noted lightly. "Apparently I made six babysitters storm out of the castle my first month of life," he added, still rather amused about the whole thing. Sage sighed when Jack confirmed the events of thier little journey with the bear and shook his head, muscles in his jaw jumping as he clenched his teeth together. "I was pretty out of it but I still can't believe I didn't notice I was in a den," he grumbled, rather annoyed with himself voer that one. "The meat'll be nasty by now but we could probably save the pelt," he noted. "If your leg's up for it I need to get up anyway," he admitted. It would hurt a lot worse at first, but after a while of walking around he'd loosen up. That was just how it worked.

Quinn made a face, though she looked amused. "Yeah, that didn't feel the greatest. Nor did the 9 months before that hauling them around." She smiled slightly, gently touching Caspian's nose with her finger. He looked up at her before continuing his staring at the sky. Special baby. "6? Really? And we're supposed to survive with that monster?" She laughed, looking fondly at Frynn, who was trying to crawl out of Sage's lap. +++ Jack snorted quietly at the two little babies. "How does he sit that still?" He questioned, staring at Capsian before looking back at Sage. "At least nothing bad happened. Mostly. And I'll be fine to walk back- are you sure you'll be okay?" He asked, standing up with a slight wince. They could probably save the pelt- he should've thought of that sooner. Apparently food was his top priority. He stretched before starting towards the forest. +++ Quinn looked slightly worried as they decided to go tramping off into the forest. However, she knew how stubborn Sage was, and she guessed Jack was like that, too. Such a male thing. She took Frynn out of his lap and stood with both babies in her arms. "They need to be fed, anyway. Be safe." She all but growled at the two, walking into the cabin.

Sage sort of wrinkled his nose slightly and nodded in response to Quinn's comment, chuckling slightly with a nod. "Six," he agreed before shrugging. "You're lucky I love you so much," he cooed at frynn, who babbled in delight, reaching up to try and yank on the strands of hair that were by her. Sage let out a sort of help and tried to wresle his hair out of her chubby baby grip, which was harder than he'd expected. "Nooo, I need that, honey," he mused before nodding when Quinn took them back, recoiling slightly when she seemed to growl at him, standing there debating whether to go after her or not before Jack called him and he moved after the other man, opening his mouth slightly to scent the air and figure out where exactly he'd gone that night. Because he had no idea. Though, he found his own trail easily enough and grumbled "at least I was easy to track," to jack, slightly embarrassed at how easily it was to track him

(Quinn's a wee bit overprotective XD) - Quinn made sure the two babies were fed before putting them to sleep- or, rather, putting Caspian to sleep and trying to get Frynn to stay put. She could tell the little girl was getting sleepier, but they still put up a fight. Whining quietly, Frynn grabbed at Quinn's hair, tried to squirm away, and genuinely acted like she was on drugs. Quinn snorted quietly as she finally managed to keep the girl still, and a couple seconds later- asleep. From mutant monster to passed out. She rolled her eyes, walking to the couch and sitting down with a sigh. +++ Jack glanced at Quinn as she left. "Yep, we'd better be careful. you probably know better than I, but I have a feeling if one of us comes back injured, she'll make sure the rest of it gets injured too." He snorted jokingly, then waited for Sage to come. When the guy spoke, he glanced at the pieces of bracken they had left. "Yeah... but that was a good thing." He pointe out, then started to follow the trail.

(lol, as dumb as sage can be she probably is smart to be xD) Sage had grunted in agreement with jacks comment, shaking his head in amusement. "I think she's gonna chew me out for this anyway," he admitted. "She's protective...which I guess is a good thing but our livestyle comes with risks and the constant worry can't be healthy," he sighed. "of course, I can't say I haven't been protective of them either," he admitted before shutting up for a while until Jack spoke up again. "I suppose so," he mused, following the trail he'd left with a sigh. "I'm sure I'll get an earful about this too," he noted somewhat fondly but also somewhat annoyed.

(Yep LOL) - Jack nodded slowly. "Yeah, and I'll be no where near you two when that happens." He joked with a grin, then nodded again. "Protective is good when you have two babies and you're part werewolf. With the amount of people I can only imagine are out to get you, it must be pretty hard." He commented, turning slightly to weave around a couple thickly clustered trees. "I bet you will. When she approached me two nights ago, she sounded absolutely terrified." He said quietly, lighting up as they found the cave, and no big animals had gotten to the carcass yet. The pelt was most of the way intact. Probably as good as they were going to get it. +++ Quinn tried to not get worried as time passed and they didn't return. She had to remind herself it would take time to skin the bear and bring it back. She sighed heavily and nervously went about cleaning the cabin, storing stuff away, and re-feeding the babies.

Sage sort of chuckled in response to jacks comment, nodding. "You probably should, or she'll rope you into it somehow," he half joked before sighing and nodding. "We're still getting used to the kids," he admitted. "They're only a couple weeks old by now," he added before kneeling down by the bear carcass with a grunt and beginning to help jack with skinning it. "It's easier having somewhere we can settle down with," he admitted, breathless by the time the bear was halfway skinned. He winced slightly when he noted she'd seemed terrified and nodded. "I'd hoped she'd stay asleep," he murmured. "She's up all night with the kids, and I don't want to wake her. Or the kids....they didn't need to see that. They won't be enough werewolf to have to morph at all....so there'd be no reason to traumatize them as kids," he murmured, pausing in his work before tugging the skin off the carcass and rolling it up. Then he sat down heavily against the tree to catch his breath.

Jack grinned, "She's probably the kind of person that would figure out how to do that." He chuckled. He sort of understood how difficult it would be to have kids- he never had any, of course, but his sister had kids, and he had to take care of them many times. "That makes sense. Children are hard, especially when you're living alone." he commented, then did the best he could with skinning it, using his dagger. "Yeah... she cares too much about you to stay asleep. And I defintiely get not wanting the kids to see it. It almost traumatized me." he joked half heartedly, helping Sage finish off the skin. He folded it over and hauled it over his shoulder. "I'll carry it back." he said stubbornly, determined not to let Sage help, at least at the beginning of the walk.

Sage grunted and nodded in response to his comment, a fond smile coming over his face. "She would. She'd sucker punch me for doing something stupid and then hug me and never let go," he noted with amusement. He hummed lightly when Jack mentioned the kids, and he nodded with a sigh. "Yeah," he sighed. "I'm just glad we found a house," he admitted, handing the pelt over without any kind of argument. His joke pulled a chuckle from him though as he stood, wandering next to Jack on the way home.
