Finn walked her back home and up to their room. He placed her down on the bed, and laid down next to her, cuddling in. "I love you more,"

Sera smiled softly, the warmth of his body beside hers instantly soothing every ache and thought that lingered. She turned toward him, curling into his chest and resting her hand gently over his heart. “You always say that,” she whispered with a sleepy smile, her voice barely more than a breath. “But it’s not true. I love you the most. Always have, always will.” She tilted her head just enough to press a kiss to his jaw, her thumb brushing tender circles against his skin. “Thank you… for tonight. For everything.” Her eyes fluttered closed as she sank into his embrace, content and safe, wrapped in love.

Finn smiled softly, holding her close. "Anything for my sunshine..." he whispered, drifting off.

Sera listened to the soft cadence of his breath, her heart full. She could feel the steady beat of his heart against her cheek, and it anchored her—reminded her that he was here, that he chose her, over and over again. She nestled in closer, her fingers curling gently in the fabric of his shirt. As his warmth surrounded her and the comfort of his arms lulled her into peace, Sera let her eyes fall shut, a soft smile still resting on her lips. “Forever and always…” she murmured, and drifted off with him.

Finn slept peacefully, wrapped up in blankets with her, arms around his fiance.

Sera stirred softly, still nestled in the warmth of his embrace. The early morning light bled gently through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. She didn’t move right away—just stayed there, breathing him in, feeling the slow, steady rhythm of his heart beneath her palm. Her fingers lightly traced the line of his arm where they were wrapped around her, memorizing the feel of him. Her fiancé. The word still made her heart skip.

Finn woke slowly, humming contently as he felt her trace up his arm.

Sera smiled faintly at the sound of his voice, her touch still feather-light as she ran her fingers along his skin. “Morning,” she whispered, lifting her head just enough to look up at him. Her eyes were soft, a sleepy warmth lingering in them. She leaned in, kissing the underside of his jaw. “Did you sleep okay?” she murmured, her voice low and full of affection. Her hand found his again under the covers, threading her fingers through his. “You looked so peaceful... I didn’t want to wake you.” Her thumb brushed against his knuckles, gaze flicking to their intertwined hands. The ring on her finger caught a sliver of light, and the sight of it made her heart flutter all over again.

Finn smiled. "Good morning, sunshine," he hummed softly. "Yeah, did you sleep well?" he asked. He smiled squeezing her hand back, watching the ring on her finger.

Sera let out a quiet, content sigh, her head resting against his chest now as she smiled. “Mmhm,” she murmured. “I did. Better than I have in a long time.” Her fingers gently squeezed his back as she curled in closer to him beneath the blankets. She followed his gaze to the ring on her finger, her smile deepening as warmth pooled in her chest. “Still feels like a dream,” she whispered, lifting their hands just slightly to admire it again. “But if it is… I don’t ever want to wake up.”
