Lorelei pursed her lips in a sleepy smile. "Thanks," she sipped her coffee.

"Of course"

Megan and Chloe came running downstairs, Megan running over to Kai and Chloe coming up to Lorelei. "Goodmorning, Chloe," Lorelei smiled.

"Hey, Megan!" Kai exclaimed, picking her up and setting her on his hip. "You dad's making breakfast. What do you think?" Kai said, tipping her a little forward so she could see. She hummed in approval. He chuckled and set her down, crouching beside her. He whispered something in Megan's ear, the little girl hurrying over to Lorelei and hugging her leg. Megan looked up wistfully at Lorelei. "Hi, auntie"

Lorelei and Chloe spoke softly goodmornings about breakfast and such as Lorelei lifted the little girl onto her lap to watch her dad cook breakfast. Lorelei turned, gazing down at Megan. "Hello, Megan, whats up?" She smiled gently at the little girl.

"Why do you love Uncle Kai?" Megan asked. "A few people would like an answer to that" Kai muttered

Lorelei smirked, giving Kai a look, she smiled, her gaze softening as she looked back at Megan. "I love uncle Kai because he makes me feel safe. He makes me feeled loved. Our families dont like each other, but he still chooses to keep me safe, and to love me and cherish me," she explained gently. There were quite a few other reasons she loved Kai, but they weren't exactly child appropriate.

"What does cherish mean?" Chloe asked quietly

Lorelei smiled at the girls. "Its when someone supports and cares for you, no matter what, because they love you,"

"Why aren't you married?"
